ABOUT LPPM
The Research and Community Service Institut (abbreviated in the Indonesian language as LPPM) was founded on the basis of the UPH rector’s decision (ref. 005-SKR/UPH/I/1996), dated January 8, 1996. It is aimed at supporting the academic activities in developing skills, competencies, and professionalism within the UPH academic community by doing research and conducting community services.
According to the UPH rector’s letter of decision, the LPPM is led by a director with an office tenure of five years. The leadership history of the LPPM since its conception until now is as follows:

LPPM Director (1996-1998) |
LPPM Director (1998-2001)

In accordance with the needs to develop the LPPM, in 2007 a scientific committee was established, whose members consisted of the representative of each faculty and were appointed by the rector’s letter of decision (Ref. 028/SKR-HRD-UPH/II/2007), dated February 8, 2007, with an office tenure of one academic year. The scientific committee has a duty to coordinate all activities concerning research and community services in their respective departments/faculties. Starting from the year of 2009, the LPPM did not appoint a scientific committee anymore. Instead, a research officer has been appointed and is responsible for coordinating all of the research projects of the faculties members.
As for the community service activities, since 2008, the LPPM has been developing a concept of “Desa Binaan” (empowered community) at Teluknaga Village in Tangerang regency and in order to coordinate all of these activities, a project officer has been appointed.
