Dr. Kim Sung Suk - Acting Dean of UPH Business School
Dr. Kim Sung Suk, B.A., M. Hum., M.Sc., joined UPH in January 2007 as Senior Lecturer to UPH. Starting January 2011, he has been serving as Acting Dean of Business School. He earned his Bachelor’s degree in History from the Korea University and then obtained his Master’s of Science in Finance and Dr. in Finance/Management from the University of Indonesia, Indonesia.
Wellianto Halim, B.Sc., M.M. - Dean of Faculty of Computer Science
Wellianto Halim earned his Bachelor degree in Fu Jen Catholic University – Taipei – Taiwan and his Master of Management in University of Pelita Harapan. He has about 27 years experience in the Information Technology industry with a strong emphasis on multi-millions dollar full cycle implementations. For the past 27 years he has specialized in Application Software Development, System Engineering, Project Management, Budgetary Management, Research and Development, Business Systems Development and Re-engineering, IT Strategy and Planning, Organization Change Management, Operations Management, General Management, e-business models, e-business platform development, and more recently in Enterprise Banking IT Services & Application Management. He has banking technology skills in core banking system, front end switch application system, bank branch automation system, credit card application system, e-banking, whole range IBM midrange hardware, Wintel system platform, several operating systems platform, RDBMS & networking, middleware (Enterprise Service Bus – Service Oriented Architecture), Enterprise Architecture, e-business models and e-business platform technology.
Thompson Susabda Ngoen S.Kom, M.Sc. - Associate Dean of Faculty of Computer Science
Thompson Susabda Ngoen earned his advanced diploma and bachelor degree both from the Universitas Bina Nusantara majoring in Information Systems and obtained his master degree in computer science from the Asian Institute of Technology (AIT). He just joined UPH after 25 years of experience in computer science education. His research interest is in computer algorithms.
Prof. Dr. Ir. Manlian A. Ronald, MT, IAI - Dean of Faculty of Design and Planning
Enriched with his experience as a professional architect, this graduate from Indonesia Technology Institute (ITI) consistently teaches Construction Management since 1998 and in 2001, he started joining UPH as permanent lecturer at Architecture Department. After acquiring SIBP Arsitek and finished his Master Degree in Civil Engineering at Universitas Indonesia in the year 2000, his research interest toward Fire Safety area was being continued as his Dissertation material at the Doctoral Program of Civil Engineering Universitas Indonesia, fully supported by UPH scholarship.
Dra. Gunawaty Tjioe B. Ed., M. Pd., Ph. D. – Dean of the Faculty of Education
Dra. Gunawaty Tjioe B. Ed., M. Pd., Ph. D. received her doctoral degree in Educational Studies from Biola University, California. She holds the following degrees: Magister Pendidikan from Universitas Pelita Harapan, Indonesia; Bachelor of Education from Tabor College, Adelaide, Australia; and Doktoranda in English Language and Literature from Universitas Methodist Indonesia, Medan, Indonesia. She also had one year theological training at the International Theological Seminary, Los Angeles, USA, in 1995; and another year of training in early childhood education at Pasadena City College, California, USA. She was a teacher at Sekolah Pelita Harapan, Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang, before she joined UPH in 2006. Her research interest is in holistic and transformative Christian education. She believes that Christian schools and universities are called not to merely transfer facts or information to their students' minds but most importantly to bring about transformation in their students’ lives to better reflect the likeness of Christ Jesus. Her vision is to see holistic transformative education take place in the majority of the Christian schools in Indonesia.
Herman Y.Kanalebe, Ph.D - Acting Dean of Faculty of Industrial Technology
Dean of Faculty of Industrial Technology, Herman Kanalebe started his Full-Time job at UPH as the Head of Electrical Engineering Graduate Program in 2007. He received his bachelor degree in Electrical Engineering from Satya Wacana Christian University in 1977 and his M.Sc. from Electrical Engineering Department at Queens University of Belfast U.K. in 1987. He obtained his Ph.D. from the School of Electrical and Information Engineering University of South Australia, in Adelaide 2001. Besides experiencing as a teaching staff in telecommunications field in overseas and national private universities, he also has quite a long industrial experience with a multinational telecommunication company dealing with technical training, product approval and consultation on telecommunication regulation. As a member of some task forces appointed by telecommunication association and regulation body, he contributed in the study and recommendations of new telecommunication technologies implementation in the country. He has also participated as a member of Indonesian delegation under the Directorate General of Post and Telecommunications to several regional meetings on telecommunication mutual recognition arrangement issues.
Prof. Dr. Bintan R. Saragih, SH - Acting Dean of School of Law
He was graduated as a bachelor degree in Law at one of the famous government universities in Indonesia, Universitas Indonesia. After then he earned his Doctor degree at Universitas Padjajaran. Currently he serves as a Professor in Universitas Indonesia and being a member of PERSAHI (Persatuan Sarjana Hukum Indonesia).
Dr. Lusiana Idawati, S.T., M.M., M.T. - Associate Provost and Acting Executive Dean of Faculty of Liberal Arts
Dr. Lusiana Idawati has earned degrees from the University of Indonesia (Dr. – Doctoral Degree in Philosophy and M.T. - Master’s Degree in Civil Engineering, majoring in Construction Management), Atmajaya University, Jakarta (M.M. - Master’s Degree in Management, majoring in Financial Management) and Udayana University, Denpasar (S.T. - Bachelor in Architecture). She also took an intensive training in teaching English as a foreign language, sponsored by LBPP LIA, Jakarta. She joined UPH in October 2003 as the Administration Director of the Faculty of Law, before moving to the Faculty of Design and Planning in 2004. She was the Director of Academic Quality and Special Projects Unit before appointed as Associate Provost and Acting Executive Dean of the Faculty of Liberal Arts. Her research interest is in the area of Ethics, Aesthetics, Philosophy of Science and Research Methodology.
Prof. Dr. Dr. dr. Eka J Wahjoepramono SpBS. - Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences
Dean of the UPH Faculty of Medicine, joined the UPH in 2001 as a lecturer in Faculty of Medicine. He earned his Bachelor’s degree from University of Diponegoro, Semarang, Indonesia and continued to pursue his Neurosurgical Training degree at University of Padjajaran, Bandung, Indonesia. Chairman of Neuroscience Center Siloam Hospital, dr. Eka J. Wahjoepramono is also a member of many medical society such as President of the Congress Annual Scientific Meeting of Indonesian Society of Neurological Surgeons (PIT PERSPEBSI) 2006 and President elect of The Asian Oceanian International Congress On Skull Base Surgery, 2010-2012. His recent positions are Founder of Indonesia Brain Foundation and President elect of World Academy of Neurological Surgeons, Founder of World Academy of Neurological Surgeons.
Dr. George Mathew - Executive Dean of Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences
Dr. George Mathew has earned his degrees from the Christian Medical College Vellore (undergraduate and post graduate Medical training), undertook post doctoral Fellowship training in upper GI and Laparoscopic Surgery at the Royal Adelaide Hospital in South Australia. He continued his postdoctoral research at the University of Adelaide, South Australia; during which time he was awarded the Davis & Geck Prize for the best research paper. His focus of research was on the study of the behavior of malignant cells in the Laparoscopic environment and the role of peritoneal immunity for which he was awarded the Doctorate in Surgery. He was appointed as Professor of Surgery at Christian Medical School in 1997 and then held the position of Head and Professor GI Surgery at Christian Medical College. He held the position of Vice Dean of the Medical College from 1997 to 2001 and as Dean of the Medical College in charge of all Medical, Allied Health and Research Courses. He was honoured with the Best Medical Administrator Award by MGR University for his services to Medical Education and Health Care Delivery. He was also honoured with the Mother of Teresa award for Excellence and the Eminent Medical Educationist Award. He chaired the undergraduate curriculum reform committee of the Medical Council of India. The main areas of his research interest are Molecular markers in early diagnosis of Gastrointestinal malignancies, marker for metatastic potential in malignat tumors, role of peritoneal immunity, use of virtual reality in medical training and the application of Robotics in Surgery. Dr. George Mathew joined UPH leaderships in October 2011 as the Executive Dean of UPH Faculty of Medicine. He is also the Executive Director of UPH Medical Sciences Group and the Executive Director of MRIN (Mochtar Riady Institute of Nanotechnology).
Ridolf Hehanussa, BCM - Acting Dean of Conservatory of Music
Ridolf graduated from the School of Church Music at Singapore Bible College, majoring in Voice. He continued his studies in Germany in 1992, at Robert Schumann institute of Music, Dusseldorf, majoring in Choral Conducting under Professor Volker Hepfling and Vocal pedagogy, with Prof. Sareztky. Study Choral Conducting in Sarteano -Italy under Prof ; Simon Carrington ( founder of King's Singer London ) and Vocal under Prof: . Bronisfawa Falinska, Sarteano -Italy. He has conducted many choirs in national events and participated in several international concerts. He is also the music director of Nathania’s Choir and Praise Philharmonia Orchestra. He had been traveled all around the world including Mission Concerts in Australia, Europe, Asia, China, Hongkong, South Korea, Hawaii, Africa, Egypt, Yordania, Israel, Alexandria ,last December 2009 having concert in Los Angeles, Las Vegas, Washington DC, and New York. Last December 2010 having Concert in Athena -Yunani, now Ridolf is a lecturer of Music at UPH Conservatory of Music since 2000 and dean of Conservatory of Music.
Dr. Fransiska Maria S.,Dra.,SKp.,MPd. - Acting Dean of Faculty of Nursing & Allied Health Sciences of UPH
Dean of UPH Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences is a graduate of Diploma 3 of Nursing from St. Carolus, Jakarta, and holds a bachelor degree of Psychology, bachelor degree of Nursing from the University of Indonesia. She also completed her Nurse Profession Program in the Faculty of Nursing in University of Indonesia, Jakarta. She earned her Master's degree in Education Administration, majoring in Management of Higher Education from Indonesian Education University in Bandung. In addition, she earned her doctoral degree in Education Administration majoring in Management of Higher Education from Indonesian Education University. She joined UPH in January 2010 as a lecturer in the Faculty of Nursing and Dean of Faculty of Nursing and Allied Health Sciences. She is a member of Indonesian Nurse Association (Persatuan Perawat Nasional Indonesia) and committee member of Association of Instituions of Higher Education in Health Care in West Java and Banten (Asosiasi Pendidikan Tinggi Kesehatan Jawa Barat and Banten).
Dr. Yonathan Aditya - Dean of Faculty of Psychology
Dr. Yonathan Aditya earned his doctoral degree in counseling psychology (major in clinical counseling) from De La Salle University, Manila. His counseling orientation is influenced by Choice Theory/Reality Therapy. Yonathan's research interests are in close relationships, positive psychology, and spirituality.
Dr. Helena Margaretha, M.Sc. – Dean of Faculty of Science and Mathematics
Dr. Helena Margaretha, M.Sc. joined the Department of Applied Mathematics Universitas Pelita Harapan in 2006. She graduated cum laude as the best graduate from Department of Mathematics Institut Teknologi Bandung in 1997, and earned M.Sc. and Dr. in Applied Mathematics from University of Twente, The Netherlands. Her study in The Netherlands was sponsored by the Confederation of Netherlands Industry and Employers (VNO-NCW) and the Maritime Research Institute Netherlands. She has been active in some organizations, for example the Ph.D. contact group of J.M. Burgerscentrum for Fluid Mechanics and organizing committee of some local and international conferences. She was also involved in a European Union Project for Indonesian Institution. Her research is in the area of applied mathematical analysis, in particular hydrodynamics and financial engineering. When dealing with students, her interest is in exploring new ways to help students discover their passions and potentials in science and mathematics.
Prof. Aleksius Jemadu, Ph.D - Dean of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences
Dean of Faculty of Social and Political Sciences Universitas Pelita Harapan joined UPH on January 1, 2009. He got his Bachelor's degree in International Relations from Gadjah Mada University in 1986 and then obtained his MA degree in Social Sciences from University of Indonesia in 1992. In i996 he got his Ph.D degree from Department of Political Sciences, Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) Belgium. He was Research Fellow at Asia Research Institute (ARI, National University of Singapore (NUS) in 2004 and at the Institute of Defence and Strategic Studies (currently Rajaratnam School of International Studies or RSIS), Singapore in 2005. He was also a visiting professor at Master Program in Cultures and Development Studies (CADES) Faculty of Social Sciences Katholieke Universiteit Leuven (KUL) and the University of Antwerp Belgium November 2007.
Dr. Diena Mutiara Lemy, A.Par, M.M. - Chief of School of Hospitality and Tourism
Diena Mutiara Lemy, has started her academic career with UPH since 1997 as the Deputy Head of Travel Industry Management. She then become the Head of Travel Industry Management Dept. from 2000 – 2004 and The Head of Hospitality Management Dept. from 2005 – June 2012. She received her Diploma IV from Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata (STP) Bandung, majoring in Tourism Management. Her Master Degree is obtained from Pelita Harapan University, and in 2010 she obtained her Doctoral Degree from Trisakti University, majoring in Service Management. As a tourism and hospitality management lecturer, she is also active in several activities conducted by The Ministry of Tourism and Creative Economy. Today she holds the position of Secretary General of The Association of Indonesia Tourism Higher Education (Hildiktipari – Himpunan Lembaga Pendidikan Tinggi Pariwisata Indonesia).
