UPH believes that our people are our valuable assets. That is why we constantly aim for the highest level of human resource quality. UPH took great concern in recruiting and developing our human resources, as well as managing to place the right person in the right position.
We took great care in this issue since we realize the importance of the human resource factor in conducting world-class education. We are fully aware that educators or lecturers are the key factor in improving students' interest towards a subject.
Our lecturers are skilled professionals, who have high concern in the educational field. They held masters or doctoral degrees from reputable national and international universities.
 
Dr. (Hon) Jonathan L. Parapak, M.Eng.Sc. - Rector

Dr. (Hon) Jonathan L. Parapak, M.Eng.Sc. is a graduate from the University of Tasmania, Australia, and was awarded an Honorary Doctor from Ouachita Baptist University. He has an extensive experience in business and government services. He was the President, CEO, and Chairman of Indosat. Dr. Parapak served as a Secretary General of the Department of Tourism, Post, Telecommunication; a member of the National Council of Research. Joining UPH in 2001, he was then appointed as the President and Rector of UPH in 2006.

 
 
 
 
 
 
Gunawaty Tjioe, B.Ed., M.Pd., Ph.D. - Vice President for Academic Affairs

She received her Philosophical Doctor degree (Ph.D.) in Educational Studies from Biola University, California; Master of Education degree (M.Pd.) from Universitas Pelita Harapan, Indonesia; Bachelor of Education (B.Ed.) degree from Tabor College, Adelaide, Australia; and Doktoranda (Dra.) in English Language and Literature from Universitas Methodist Indonesia, Medan, Indonesia. Her theological knowledge was obtained through one year study at the International Theological Seminary, Los Angeles, USA; and she is also equipped in the field of Early Childhood Education through her study at the Pasadena City College, California, USA. She has been with YPPH since 2003, starting as a teacher at the Sekolah Pelita Harapan, Lippo Karawaci, Tangerang, and then taking the role as a Lecturer at UPH Teachers College.  She served as the Dean of the Faculty of Education for 4 years before she takes the current role as the Vice President for Academic Affairs. The longing of her heart is to see holistic transformative Christian education taking place from preschool to university level across Indonesia, where the students are led to know their Creator and Savior, and where each student will discover, develop and use their talents for the glory of God.  

 
 
 
Hana Herawati - Vice President for Finance and Administration

Hana Herawati has had the privilege of managing the administration departments, including Finance, Human Resources, Information Technology, General Affairs, and Public Relations for almost 20 years at Sekolah Pelita Harapan and PT ORIX Indonesia Finance. She graduated from Bandung Insitute of Technology, majoring in Urban and Regional Planning. She firmly believes in UPH's vision and mission as God's instruments in redeeming the fallen world through Christian Education.

 

 

 

Rev. Albert Mitchell Moore, MDiv. - Vice President for Student Development

Rev. Albert Mitchell Moore, MDiV, has worked at UPH since August, 2014 as Chaplain and since March, 2016 as Vice President, Student Development. Rev. Moore shares four beautiful children with Lisa, his wife since 1998. Before coming to UPH Rev. Moore served five years as an assistant pastor at Second Presbyterian Church in Memphis, Tennessee (USA), and currently serves as assistant pastor for Karawaci Presbyterian Church. Rev Moore is helping lay the foundation for the Christ Chapel movement throughout Indonesia and is excited about the other ways Indonesia is blessed through UPH graduates. Rev. Moore is a graduate of Covenant Theological Seminary in St Louis, Missouri, and has worked in various educational and ministry roles for over twenty years. 

 

 
 

 

 

 

Soegandi Dharma Oetomo, S.Kom., M.M. - Deputy Provost for Academic Support

 

Soegandi joined UPH in November 2012 as Assistant to the UPH President. In August 2013, he was assigned as UPH IT Director and as Business Solution Director in May 2016 before he takes the current role as the Deputy Provost for Academic Support. He also serves as a lecturer in School of Information Science and Technology. His research interest is in the area of multimedia and educational technology. Soegandi received his Bachelor in Computer Engineering from STMIK Bina Nusantara (now Bina Nusantara University). He obtained his Master in Information Systems Management also from Bina Nusantara University and honored as best graduate. He has more than twenty years of experience in education and information technology industry, from technical, professional to managerial level.
