Philosophy

We based our philosophy on the understanding that humanity was given cultural mandate from God (Genesis 1:28), to shape every area of life according to God’s will, including in Art. And this becomes our Philosophy in expressing Art.

Vision

To be a leading university in Indonesia with the strongest art program that contributes to Holistic Education system which based on True Knowledge, Faith in God, and Godly Character.

Mision

To facilitate and nurture the students interest in art by building strong system and foundation, unique and relevant programs, excellent trainers, so they can project their skills and become the light and the salt to the world through Art.

Program Objective

One of the important elements in Holistic Education system is Art Education. Department of Art hopes that during the learning process, students will learn about values, disciplines, commitments, work ethics based on Christian value which are reflected in our programs.

Role

Department of Art understands its role in UPH community, by synergizing internally with faculty activities, marketing activities, various university departments, spiritual growth events and many other school events in UPH calendar of events such as UPH Festival, UPH Award, and many more; and working externally in the community through our outreach programs and also developing partnerships with other manyt corporate partners including Lippo Group companies. We look forward to continually working together and developing potential partnerships with other members of community. Our hope is that people can experience God through our Art.

Organization

The Department of Art is organized into two main sections. The Art Department where the focus is on training, coaching a skill development, and the Performing Art Department where the focus is on public performance of many kinds and provision of Art exposure and experiences for the UPH Community
