UPH officially cooperates with Lipscomb University in the US.

Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) has officially sealed the partnership with Lipscomb University in the United States of America. The Rector of UPH, DR. (Hon.) Jonathan L. Parapak, M.Eng., Sc. and W. Craig Bledsoe as the Vice Rector for Academic Affairs and the Professor of Political Science at Lipscomb University, as well as Hannah J. Stolze as the Associate Professor of Supply Chain Management at Lipscomb University and the Executive Director of The Wheaton College Center for Faith and Innovation signed a cooperation agreement online on November 17th, 2021. Both parties agree to cooperate in organizing student mobility programs such as student exchanges or study tours.

The partnership that exists between UPH and Lipscomb University is an example of the integration of “Kampus Merdeka” program between UPH and overseas universities, which is in line with the policy initiated by Kemendikbudristek (the Ministry of Education, Culture, Research, and Technology), which mandates universities to offer opportunities for their students to take courses across majors, or to take courses in their study programs at different universities, both on a national and international scale.

This kind of cooperation is very beneficial to UPH students because it opens up opportunities for them to broaden their horizons and experience. Within the scope of campus, this cooperation is able to improve the quality and implementation of cooperation with other overseas educational institutions so as to improve the accreditation of the respective university and further strengthen the relationship between the two universities with the same foundation of faith (faith-based university).

“We are grateful for the opportunity to collaborate with the members of other Council for Christian Colleges and Universities (CCCU) who share the same faith and values. It is planned that the Study Tour Program will be held offline at UPH. However, under the condition that it depends on the pandemic situation and the quarantine regulations later. It is hopeful that by mid-2022, it will be safer and easier to travel to Indonesia, and thus we can continue to plan for the Student Mobility Program,” explained Shirley Yauwhan as the Manager of Global Partnerships and International Office of UPH.

This cooperation is a form of UPH’s commitment of producing graduates who are well-prepared to enter the international world. Let’s join UPH! Enrollment for the 2022/23 academic year is now open for registration. For further information, please contact Student Consultants at 0811-1709-901.
