Ihan Martoyo, S.T., M.Sc., dosen Teknik Elektro Membawakan Pemaparan Mengenai Penelitian Terhadap Gitar Elektrik<\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;\">Sesi ketiga <em>Science-Tech Colloquium<\/em> sebagai program bulanan dari Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi (FaST) kembali hadir dengan topik Eksplorasi Inovasi dan Karakterisasi Gitar Elektrik dari Program Studi Teknik Elektro pada 27 April 2018 di Gedung B ruang 527 UPH Lippo Village, Tangerang.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;\">Topik yang dibawakan oleh Dr. Ing. Ihan Martoyo, S.T., M.Sc., dosen Teknik Elektro merupakan hasil dari tugas akhir penelitian mahasiswa Teknik Elektro milik Julius Gunawan dan Joshua Hutabarat yang dibimbing langsung oleh Ihan, tahun 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;\">?Penelitian ini hadir karena kita berpikir bahwa pemusik biasanya tidak akan fokus pada frekuensi suara, bagaimana perbedaan ukurannya. Untuk itu melalui penelitian ini kita dari proram studi mendorong mereka agar kreatif untuk meneliti karakteristik gitar elektrik berdasarkan keilmuan Teknik Elektro dengan melakukan pengukuran frekuensi,? ungkap Ihan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;\">Dalam paparan singkat ini, Ihan menjelaskan seputar penelitian gitar elektrik ini seputar pemilihan materi hingga perbandingan antar gitar melalui perhitungan frekuensi dan sebagainya<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;\">.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;\">Diawali dengan penentuan pemilihan materi gitar yang ingin diuji, mahasiswa ini memilih nylon, aklirik, dan kayu. Uniknya materi nylon merupakan materi yang digunakan untuk membuat talenan, dengan tujuan untuk kemudahan pencarian material dan pemanfaatan material sekitar. Untuk itulah Julius Gunawan memilih talenan bekas dan dipotong.&nbsp; Dalam penggunaan nylon ini ditemukan beragam masalah seperti kesulitan pemotongan dan sulitnya memasukkan skrup, tidak seperti materi kayu yang lebih mudah. Materi lainnya yaitu menggunakan aklirik yang dianggap lebih mudah dibentuk sesuai dengan keinginan dan kayu. Untuk kayu, kedua mahasiswa ini menggunakan <em>body <\/em>gitar yang ada lalu dipotong menjadi lebih kecil dengan konsep <em>mini wood<\/em> yang ditujukan sebagai <em>travel guitar.<\/em><\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;\">Melalui penelitian ini, kedua mahasiswa tersebut melakukan serangkaian tes frekuensi baik tanpa maupun menggunakan efek distorsi komersil seperti yang biasa digunakan pada gitar elektrik.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-82\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uph.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/05\/images_IMG_0724.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0724.jpg\" width=\"361\" height=\"240\" \/><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Ihan Martoyo Saat Menjelaskan Mengenai Penelitian Karakteristik Gitar Elektrik&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span> <\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;\">?Dari penelitian tersebut diketahui beberapa hasil perbandingan seperti pengukuran spektrum untuk mencari tahu efek materi <em>body<\/em> dengan hasil suara dilihat dari frekuensi dengan hasil material kayu pada ukuran gitar normal menghasilkan 820 Hz, Nylon 738 Hz, dan mini wood 920 Hz. Artinya semakin besar frekuensi maka kesan suara semakin cerah, dimana materi kayu yang dipotong lebih kecil menghasilkan suara yang lebih cerah, dan nylon menghasilkan suara yang lebih berat. Namun ketika diuji menggunakan efek distorsi perbedaan tidak lagi signifikan,? jelas Ihan.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;\">Selain menguji material, kedua mahasiswa ini juga membuat distorsi yang mereka rakit sendiri dimana khusus gitar berbahan dasar Nylon, efek distorsi dijadikan satu dengan <em>body<\/em> gitar.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 107%;\">?Dari hasil pengujian, efek distorsi yang biasa digunaka gitar elektrik menghasilkan frekuensi 1650 Hz dan frekuensi efek distorsi rakitan 2970Hz. &nbsp;Untuk pengujian gitar berbahan dasar aklirik, Joshua menggunakan efek distorsi jenis fuzz. Hasil perbandingan menunjukkan bahwa efek distorsi jenis Fuzz yang biasa digunakan memiliki warna frekuensi lebih luas dan berwarna.
