Biola University kembali melakukan kunjungan ke UPH Karawaci dalam rangka diskusi pengembangan kerjasama di antara kedua institusi. Serangkaian kegiatan juga dilakukan selama kunjungan yang berlangsung  dari tanggal 5 Oktober sampai 10 Oktober.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Seperti lawatan yang sebelumnya, Barry H. Correy, President dari Biola University juga turut hadir bersama lima delegasi lainnya, di antaranya adalah Deborah Taylor, Provost; Adam Morris, Vice President for Advancement; Michael Pierce, Paul Ferguson; Dean of School of Science, Technology and Health dan David Shynn, Senior Director for New Ventures and University Planning.<\/span><\/p>\n

Kunjungan ini disambut hangat oleh UPH Para pimpinan senior UPH yang diwakili oleh Dr. (Hon) Jonathan L. Parapak, Rektor UPH, Dr. Gunawaty Tjioe, Wakil Rektor Bidang Akademik,  Hana Herawati, Wakil Rektor Bidang Keuangan dan Administrasi, Dr. Curtis Jay Taylor, Wakil Rektor Bidang Kemahasiswaan, Dr. Niel Nielson, Pejabat Dekan Business School, Budhi T. Yuwono, Senior Assistant to Rector, serta Stephanie Riady, Deputi Wakil Rektor Bidang Keuangan dan Administrasi.  <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Fokus utama dari kunjungan ini adalah untuk mengeksplorasi potensi kerjasama antara UPH dan Biola University khususnya di bidang Sains dan Teknologi serta memperkuat kerjasama dalam bidang Health Science yang sudah terjalin sebelumnya. Diskusi mengenai potensi kerjasama ini berlangsung di Kantor Rektorat UPH Karawaci pada hari Jumat, 6 Oktober 2017.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

<\/span><\/p>\n

Dalam diskusi bidang sains dan teknologi, turut hadir perwakilan Faculty of Science and Technology (FaST) UPH diantranya Eric Jobiliong, Dekan FaST, Jack Widjajakusuma, Ketua Jurusan Teknik Sipil, Reinhard Pinontoan, Ketua Jurusan Bioteknologi, dan W. Donald R. Pokatong, Ketua Jurusan Teknologi Pangan. Sementara dari Biola University diwakili oleh Deborah Taylor dan Paul Ferguson. Topik pembahasan mengenai tantangan dalam bidang sains dan teknologi yang dihadapi masing-masing pihak  baik di Indonesia dan Amerika. Serta pertukaran ide-ide yang dapat dikembangkan oleh keduabelah pihak.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dalam kesempatan tersebut juga dibahas secara khusus mengenai mengimplementasi iman ke dalam hidup sehari-hari terlebih dalam bidang sains dan teknologi.<\/span><\/p>\n

Sementara Paul Ferguson dalam kesempatan interview menyampaikan kesan terkait apa yang Teknik Sipil UPH sudah kerjakan dan pencapaiannya, serta Biotechnology melalui pengaplikasiannya di Indonesia dan juga bagaimana cara UPH mempersiapkan mahasiswa Food Science and Technology dalam memasuki dunia industri.<\/span><\/p>\n

Melalui pertemuan ini diharapkan kedua institusi dapat saling bekerjasama dan bersinergi untuk menghadapi tantangan-tantangan yang ada khususnya dalam pengimplementasian iman Kristen di bidang Sains dan Teknologi. ™ <\/span><\/p>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
