On the 3rd day of the 24th UPH Festival, Friday, August 18, 2017, UPH has been doing an Open House for High School students from various schools. Open House was held as a means of providing information about campus life, faculties, as well as the majors offered in UPH, for High School students. Approximately, 2000 students were present at the 3rd day of the 24th UPH Festival. The Open House itself was divided into two sessions: morning session, and afternoon session.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

During the Open House, students were able to do a campus tour, and they were also entertained with a variety of games, which enlivened the event. Moreover, there was also a performance from <\/span>Beileys Accoustic, a music group that consists of UPH alumni. Students were also introduced to the majors offered in UPH through a video about UPH which was shown. But, there was something different with this Open House. For this year?s Open House, <\/span>UPH invited a guest, as well as alumni of UPH International Relation (2011), Devi, who now is currently working in PT. Mitra Gaya Indah ?which is more known as MAP, as Area Coordinator with Assessor Certification. Beforehand, Devi has ever worked in <\/span>UPH in the Admission, Event and Marketing Stuff on 2012-2013. In her session, Devi introduced herself as well as her professional activities which involve managing 3 shoe lines, including Staccato, Linea, and Birkenstock. She said that her success today could not be separated from how <\/span>UPH has helped her when she was a student.<\/span><\/p>\n

?<\/span>UPH taught me about attitude, and to not go to college just for the academic reasons, but also to improve our attitude. If we are smart, but we do not own a good<\/span> attitude than it will be useless,? said Devi.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Devi also shared her academic experiences during her times in UPH. She admitted that <\/span>UPH has a better academic quality compared to other universities, looking at its lecturers who obtained master and doctoral degrees from renowned universities in and outside of Indonesia. The reason why she chose UPH is that of the good reputation it has, as well as the ease of access provided.<\/span><\/p>\n

?My hope for the new students is for them to keep their spirit up. Because when their time in college has passed, those moments could not be repeated anymore. So enjoy college while you can,? said Devi. <\/span><\/p>\n

?During the Open House, I come to know more about the campus, and also how to obtain the scholarship in UPH. These explanations really help me to know UPH even more, and I can have all my questions answered. This campus has a complete set of facilities. Truthfully, I?m very interested with the animation major in UPH. Although this has just been my first visit to UPH, I can see that <\/span>UPH is a campus full of qualities and the people here are very nice,? said a student of SMA Kristen Ketapan, Nathasya Vira (12th grade – Social) <\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

?I?m very glad that I participated in this Open House because there?s a lot of bazaar in UPH Festival. My parents have recommended me to enroll in UPH. Aside from its ?A? accreditation, I also have a relative here. If I really do enroll at UPH, I will really make use of the badminton facility available. Regarding major, I?m still considering some options.  There are so many choices here in UPH, and all of them are interesting,? said Sherlyana (12th grade – Science), a student of SMA Dian Harapan.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n

?Back then, I came to UPH when I was still in elementary school, and now as I come again, lots of things have surely changed. UPH has nice buildings, and its swimming pools are really great. I think UPH has an even greater international quality compared to others. Its location is also very strategic; it?s close to the mall, as well as other stores. Open House in UPH is really exciting for me personally,? said a 12th-grade Accounting student from Atisa Dipamkara, Retviange Oklayetri Candraniawati.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

?This is the first time for me to visit UPH. Just by looking at it for a brief moment, I can see that this campus has lots of great facilities, especially its swimming pool. Although it has just been my first time in UPH, I have already known UPH. This Open House is really exciting, the MCs are really entertaining, and they clearly explained many things about choosing majors in college. I myself haven?t decided upon a major, but I would most likely take a science-related major,? said Chevina Rafanida (12th grade – Science) SMAN 2 Tangerang.<\/span><\/p>\n
