Upon its establishment in 2001, UPH Faculty of Medicine has reached its 15th year. UPH Faculty of Medicine has sought its vision in enhancing quality, both academically and non-academically, such as through curriculum and student activity unit <\/p>\n

Upon its establishment in 2001, UPH Faculty of Medicine has reached its 15th<\/sup> year. UPH Faculty of Medicine has sought its vision in enhancing quality, both academically and non-academically, such as through curriculum and student activity unit. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

?For now, there are 6 active Student Activity Units which include Senate, CIMSA (Center for Indonesian Medical Students’ Activities), AMSA (Asian Medical Students’ Association), Tender Loving Community, Secret Club and Mentoring. In the near future, we will try to create more variations for the students, such as Choir, Writing Club and many more,? said dr. Andree, Vice Dean of Student Affairs.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Through these student activity units, UPH Faculty of Medicine has become more nationally well known, which is proven with UPH being chosen by CIMSA to be the host for the national meeting conference of CIMSA Indonesia. Aside from that, in 2017, the UPH Faculty of Medicine will also host an event with workshops and competitions, which will involve all Faculty of Medicine in Indonesia. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

dr. Andree hopes that, aside from becoming more well-known, the students of UPH Faculty of Medicine could also impact the society around them. <\/span>He took<\/span> the <\/span>students? <\/span>Medical Assistance Team <\/span>as an <\/span>example. The team focuses on helping people who needs assistance for accidents, minor injuries and impacts of natural disaster. Just recently, the students of UPH Faculty of Medicine who joined the Medical Assistance Team, volunteered to help the victims of Sumedang flood.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

dr. Andree also stated that for the past 15 years UPH Faculty of Medicine has always been trying to keep track of every of its achievements. From the academics, he said that the students of UPH Faculty of Medicine have often become the top 10 in National Medical Examination. Our students, have quite a lot of achievements in various competitions, such as Winner of the Regional Medical Olympiad (RMO) 2016, on June 2-5, 2015; a number of categories during the International Medical Olympiad (IMO) 2016, which was held on October 12-16, 2016 and in 2017, UPH will join another international competition in Thailand.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Through numerous achievements in academic and non-academic field, UPH Faculty of Medicine hopes that it can produce more professional, competent and visionary doctors in the future. And upon realizing it, UPH Faculty of Medicine partners with Siloam Hospitals, who provides opportunities for our graduates to serve in various part of Indonesia. Not just Siloam, the alumni of UPH Faculty of Medicine also join various Public Hospitals in various regions.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Upon producing competent doctors, UPH Faculty of Medicine also has its special ways regarding academic activities, such as its Neuroscience and Oncology program. Aside from that, lots of innovative activities, such as 3D Cinema Public Lecture on Neurology, has also been done. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

With the support from such a visionary Dean, Prof. Dr.Dr. dr. Eka J. Wahjoepramoni, SpBS, who is also a member of the Association of Neurosurgeon<\/em>, who is able to provide the opportunity for UPH Faculty of Medicine to have a good relationship with doctors and experts from all over Indonesia and also foreign countries. Therefore, many opportunities are open for lecturers as well as students of UPH Faculty of Medicine to be involved in various national or international activities. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

?In the near time, UPH Faculty of Medicine aims for an A accreditation. We also plan to launch a Medical Magazine and to add more variety to the student activity units. Certainly, for 15 years and 25 times of Oath Pledges, UPH Faculty of Medicine hopes to produce competent, professional doctors with researches, who is also fearful of the Lord, have the heart to serve and to serve in various region of Indonesia,? dr. Andree ended. <\/span><\/p>\n
