This collaboration has now been renewed, with the signing of the new cooperation agreement on October 7, 2016 at UPH Karawaci.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 15.3333px;\">Until now, there are 27 students who have joined the Dual-Degree program. Among them, 25 students have completed their studies and the other 2, had just joined the program for the 2016\/2017 academic year.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 15.3333px;\">Ir. W. Donald R. Pokatong, M.Sc., Ph.D, Head of Food Technology Department, said that the contract renewal with UoN includes the same points with the previous agreement. There was only a minor change in the administrative and curriculum adaptation terms from the both party, UPH and UoN.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 15.3333px;\">Aside from that, Donald also stated that this program is indeed unique and is very helpful for students who want to gain more knowledge and skills on an international scale with a relatively affordable price. Moreover, with such a short&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 15.3333px;\">period of ti<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 15.3333px;\">me, students could already obtain two degrees, S.T.P (<em>Sarjana Teknologi Pangan<\/em>) and BFSHN (Bachelor of Food Science and Human Nutrition), which surely very favorable for students.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 15.3333px;\">The Dean of FaST, Prof. Dr. Manlian Ronald A. Simanjuntak, ST., MT., also added that this kind of collaboration is one of the realizations from the vision&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 15.3333px;\">of<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 15.3333px;\">&nbsp;FaST.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 15.3333px;\">?An international collaboration like this is a realization of the vision that the Faculty of Science and Technology (FaST) has, which includes: Being a Faculty with the highest value in intellectuality, skill, life integrity, Christ-centered spirituality and teaching, research and competent community service within the scope of Mathematics, Science, Engineering and Technology. The implementation of the vision is actually the mission itself, where the enhancement of collaboration in terms of teaching and research, is done through the synergy between departments and national as well as international institutions. Certainly, the vision of FaST derived from the vision of Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH): ?UPH is a Christ-centered university founded upon and promoting true knowledge, faith in Christ and godly character aiming to develop God-fearing, competent and professional future leaders through excellent, holistic and transformational education,? explained the Dean of FaST, Prof. Dr. Manlian Ronald A.
