Untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan daya saing global mahasiswanya, Teknologi Pangan Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) telah melakukan kerjasama dengan University of Newcastle (UoN) Australia untuk program Dual-Degree sejak 6 Oktober 2006 <\/p>\n\n\n\n\n\n

Untuk meningkatkan kompetensi dan daya saing global mahasiswanya,  Teknologi Pangan Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) telah melakukan kerjasama dengan University of Newcastle (UoN) Australia untuk program Dual-Degree<\/em> sejak 6 Oktober 2006.  Kerjasama ini kembali dilakukan dengan melakukan pembaruan penandatanganan kesepakatan kerjasama pada 7 Oktober 2016, di UPH Karawaci.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Sampai saat ini total jumlah mahasiswa yang telah mengikuti program Dual-Degree ini sebanyak 27 orang dengan rincian 25 orang telah menyelesaikan studinya, dan 2 orang baru mengikuti program ini untuk tahun ajaran 2016\/2017.<\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Ir. W. Donald R. Pokatong, M.Sc., Ph.D, Ketua Program Studi Teknologi Pangan menyatakan bahwa pembaruan kerjasama dengan UoN ini kurang lebih memiliki poin-poin yang sama dengan sebelumnya, hanya ada perbedaan minor dari segi administrasi, dan penyesuaian antara kurikulum terbaru dari kedua belah pihak baik UPH maupun UoN.  <\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Selain itu Donald juga mengungkapkan bahwa program ini unik dan dapat membantu mahasiswa yang ingin memperoleh wawasan dan keahlian lebih luas dengan skala internasional, dengan biaya yang relatif terjangkau.  Terlebih lagi dari segi waktu yang singkat, mahasiswa sudah dapat memperoleh dua gelar,  yaitu S.T.P (Sarjana Teknologi Pangan) dan BFSHN ( Bachelor of Food Science and Human Nutrition). Tentunya ini menguntungkan mahasiswa.<\/p>\n

Dekan FAST Prof. Dr. Manlian Ronald A. Simanjuntak, ST., MT., juga menambahkan bahwa kerjasama seperti  ini merupakan perwujudan dari visi FAST.<\/p>\n

?Kerjasama internasional seperti ini merupakan salah satu perwujudan dari Visi Fakultas Sains dan Teknologi (FaST) yaitu: Menjadi Fakultas yang memiliki nilai-nilai tertinggi dalam bidang intelektualitas, keterampilan, integritas hidup, spiritualitas yang berpusat kepada Kristus, dan dalam pengajaran, penelitian serta pengabdian kepada masyarakat yang berkualitas di bidang Matematika, Sains, Teknik dan Teknologi<\/strong>. Salah satu model implementasi Visi FaST diterjemahkan dalam misi yang dilakukan saat ini yaitu untuk meningkatkan kerjasama bidang pengajaran dan penelitian melalui sinergi antar jurusan dan dengan institusi nasional dan internasional.
