Di Indonesia sendiri berdasarkan data Nasional, kasus keracunan pangan cukup tinggi dan terus meningkat. Menyadari hal ini, maka Himpunan Mahasiswa Jurusan (HMJ) Jurusan Teknologi Pangan&nbsp; UPH mengadakan berbagai acara untuk tingkat mahasiswa dan SMA, &nbsp;dalam rangkaian acara Food Explore 8 yang digelar 3 hari, tanggal 4-6 November 2015 di kampus UPH.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">Kompetisi Inovasi Bersyarat bagi siswa SMA merupakan salah satu program yang menarik dalam Food Explore. Kesederhanaan dalam pemanfaatan teknologi, tidak membuat siswa SMA peserta kompetisi Inovasi Bersyarat, kehilangan cara untuk berinovasi. &nbsp;Dalam kompetisi ini, &nbsp;<\/span>siswa ditantang untuk membuat inovasi pangan dengan menggunakan salah satu dari bahan utama yang sudah ditentukan yaitu&nbsp; buah bit, kucai, dan ikan patin. Ketiga bahan ini masih jarang dimanfaatkan menjadi makanan sehat dan kurang populer.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Melalui kompetisi ini <span style=\"line-height: 115%;\">para siswa didorong untuk berusaha dengan kreatif menciptakan jenis makanan baru, yang didasarkan pada penelitian tentang manfaat dari bahan-bahan yang digunakan dalam makanan olahan mereka dengan memanfaatkan teknologi sederhana.<\/span>Tema besar dari acara ini adalah <em>Call To Act: A Little Awareness, Prevents Future Anxiety.? <\/em>Melalui tema ini HMJ Teknologi Pangan mengajak masayarakat luas untuk menyadari pentingnya makanan sehat untuk mencegah banyak hal &nbsp;negatif di masa mendatang.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Kompetisi ini diikuti oleh 10 tim dari 7 sekolah, dengan berbagai inovasi pangan diantaranya&nbsp; Calcinod atau Mie Tulang Ikan Patin, dan Es krim Bit dari SMA Tarakanita, Frozen Yoghurt buah bit dari SMAK 6 Penabur, Bibbles (<em>bubble <\/em>yang biasa ada pada minuman <em>Milk Tea<\/em>)&nbsp; dan <em>Xiao Tin Bao <\/em>atau Bapao Patin karya siswa UPH College, Chocobeet atau Coklat dengan isian Buah Bit dan Patin Hot Slap atau Sambal Ikan Patin dari SMA Santa Theresia, Roti Bit isi abon patin dari SMA Lazuardi, dan Kelepon isi cairan buah bit dari SMA Regina Pacis.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-439\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uph.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2015\/11\/images_publications_2015_11_img_5389.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"300\" height=\"200\" \/>Calcinood atau Calcium Noodle, karya siswa SMA Tarakanita Gading Serpong.<\/div>\n<\/td>\n<td><span style=\"text-align: justify; font-size: 10pt;\">Dari antara 10 jenis inovasi makanan tersebut, salah satu yang menarik adalah olahan makanan inovatif&nbsp; dari SMA Tarakanita Gading Serpong, Calcinod atau Calcium Noodle, yaitu Mie dari Tulang Ikan Patin. Kesederhanaan dalam pemanfaatan teknologi, tidak membuat SMA Tarakanita Gading Serpong kehilangan cara berupaya untuk mengolah sisa bahan makanan yang biasanya dibuang untuk mereka ubah menjadi suatu inovasi makanan, yaitu mie yang kaya kalsium.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; line-height: 115%;\">Tim juri dari Jurusan Teknologi Pangan UPH menilai dari aspek manfaat dari kandungan bahan makanan, teknologi pengolahan dan juga penyajian. ?Selain itu kami juga memberikan nilai lebih pada kreasi yang mengangkat pangan tradisional, nilai gizi dan kreativitas pengolahan,? kata&nbsp; Patricia Sisi Gultom, dosen Teknologi Pangan yang juga menjadi juri kompetisi ini. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Melalui acara Inovasi bersyarat Food Explore 8 ini , para siswa SMA ini didorong untuk berusaha dengan kreatif menghasilkan inovasi makanan baru dengan teknologi sederhana serta&nbsp; melakukan penelitian untuk mengetahui manfaat dari kandungan bahan makan tertentu. Tidak hanya itu, kompetisi ini juga mendorong masyarakat untuk memanfaatkan bahan makanan yang belum banyak diolah &nbsp;seperti &nbsp;ikan patin, buat bit, dan kucai.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Dalam kompetisi ini selain hadiah yang menjadi tujuan, panitia tentunya juga berharap bahwa para siswa akan memperoleh pengetahuan dan pengalaman yang bermanfaat, dan bisa menemukan minat pada jurusan Teknologi Pangan.
