Tim dari UW terdiri dari Nello Angerilli (READI Project Director), Colin Rankin, Mike Eden, Kerry Mahoney, Ken Seng Tan, Michael Wong dan Sri Mastuti, konsultan untuk READI-IGEA. Rombongan diterima oleh representative UPH diantaranya &nbsp;Helena Margaretha (Wakil Dekan FaST), Andry Panjaitan (Direktur FaST), Kie Van Ivanky Saputra (Ketua Jurusan Matematika Terapan), Silvy Santoso (Vice Director Marketing and Admission) dan Johana Suprapto (Manager International Office).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%; background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Jurusan Matematika Terapan UPH telah mengadakan program peminatan aktuaria sejak tahun 2005. Banyak lulusan program ini sukses bekerja dan berprofesi sebagai aktuaris. Kerjasama dengan University of Waterloo akan memperkuat kualitas program peminatan aktuaria di UPH, secara khusus menuju sertifikasi internasional dan standar kualitas internasional. UPH merupakan satu-satunya universitas di Indonesia yang telah mendapatkan pengakuan VEE Applied Statistics dari Society of Actuaries (SoA).<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Kunjungan ini merupakan kelanjutan dari kunjungan representatif pemerintah Kanada ke Indonesia dalam rangka keberlanjutan pendidikan ilmu aktuaria di Indonesia, pada November 2015 lalu. Topik pembahasan dalam kunjungan University of Waterloo kali ini seputar strategi umum dalam sosialisasi dan rekrutmen mahasiswa peminatan aktuaria&nbsp;<span style=\"background-image: initial; background-attachment: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial;\">yang merupakan salah satu mata kuliah dari&nbsp;jurusan matematika di UPH<em>. <\/em>Dalam diskusi juga dibicarakan mengenai program internship untuk mahasiswa aktuaria, program marketing kepada calon mahasiswa untuk bidang aktuaria dan informasi umum mengenai minat masyarakat Indonesia terhadap ilmu aktuaria. <\/span>Diskusi juga terkait dengan potensi kerjasama yang dapat dilakukan antara UW dan UPH seperti program internship, kerjasama dengan industri keuangan dan asuransi, program penjangkauan siswa dan guru sekolah menengah atas, kompetisi, &nbsp;sosialisasi program aktuaria kepada calon mahasiswa dan orang tua serta program studi lanjut bagi dosen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"margin-bottom: 0.0001pt; text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Usai diskusi, tim UW diajak untuk berkunjung ke kelas dan berdialog langsung dengan mahasiswa Prodi Matematika, seputar program&nbsp; internship, motivasi memilih peminatan aktuaria dan isu gender terkait dengan bidang aktuaria. Sebelum mengakhiri kunjungan di UPH, tim UW juga berkesempatan berkunjung ke UPH College yang berlokasi di kampus UPH Karawaci.
