Nasution, Ketua Prodi HI saat&nbsp;Memberi&nbsp;Pengantar Singkat kepada para Peserta<\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div><span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: justify;\">\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"line-height: 107%;\">With so many global issues rife in the country today, UPH participate in bringing world peace by educating students early on<\/span><span style=\"line-height: 107%; color: #212121;\"> through an event held by the UPH International Relations program on April 27, 2017 at MYC Campus UPH LIPPO Village.<\/span><\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #212121; font-size: 10pt;\">The event consists of two parts &#8211; exhibition sessions and workshops. In the exhibition sessions, 40 final year students of the International Relations program delighted visitors through their final project displayed in various ways.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p>&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #212121; font-size: 10pt;\">The final task is to divide students into groups that will present special topics on global issues prominent in the world, especially in Indonesia, namely Interfaith Dialogue, Migrant Workers, LGBT, AEC, say no to terrorism, climate change, poverty eradication, <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #212121; font-size: 10pt;\">money laundering,&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #212121; font-size: 10pt;\">drug trafficking, and renewable energy.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"color: #212121; font-size: 10pt;\">In the workshop session, the students got an interactive educational game where they were trained to manage problems that usually emerge so they would not break into a conflict that threatens peace. Each group got a case study and at the end of the session,&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #212121; font-size: 10pt;\">they were asked&nbsp;<\/span><span style=\"color: #212121; font-size: 10pt;\">to provide a solution to the existing problem.<\/span><\/p>\n<pre style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&nbsp;<br \/><\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span style=\"color: #212121;\">Dr. Edwin Tambunan, S.IP., M.Sc. explained that the workshop aims not only to give information to participants, but also to help them understand how to manage problems so it will not break into a conflict that endangers world peace.<\/span><span style=\"color: #212121;\"> <\/span><\/span><\/pre>\n<\/p><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<table style=\"height: 19px; width: 986px;\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/span> <\/p>\n<pre style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #212121;\">\"Students who are still in school are future leaders at local, national, regional and even global levels. <br \/>Therefore, if students are equipped early with concepts in pluralism and peace, they will be able to manage differences and conflicts <br \/>better to initiate change. Making a generation of leaders who are not only aware of the conflict <br \/>but also know how to solve the conflict and use that conflict as a force to drive the world towards a more peaceful world. \" said Edwin.<\/span><\/pre>\n<p> <span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #000000;\"><span style=\"line-height: 115%; background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial;\"><br \/><\/span><\/span><\/td>\n<td>&nbsp;<\/td>\n<td><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-118\" src=\"https:\/\/www.uph.edu\/wp-content\/uploads\/2018\/06\/images_IMG_0692_HIedit.jpg\" alt=\"IMG_0692_HIedit.jpg\" width=\"450\" height=\"300\" \/>&nbsp;<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<pre style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #212121;\">Edwin explained that peace can be achieved not only from groups or certain positions but involves a whole range of parties and must start from every individual themselves.<\/span><\/pre>\n<pre style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/pre>\n<pre style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #212121;\">After getting equipped through the exhibition, 52 of 11<sup>th<\/sup> grade students from SMAN 60, SMAN 82, UPHC, Dian Harapan School, PSKD Depok High School, Atisa High School and UPH College were divided into two to attend the workshop.<\/span><\/pre>\n<pre style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/pre>\n<pre style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #212121;\">The workshops held are very diverse, at the first game the participants were asked to see the differences that exist in each group member. They will later be grouped based on the differences. On The next workshop, the participants got a case study <br \/>where they paired up and acted as someone who has internal conflicts concerning group achievement. <br \/>They were asked to present the most ideal solution and its underlying reason. The problems are quite diverse, spanning from simple to complex issues involving various parties.<\/span><\/pre>\n<pre style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/pre>\n<pre style=\"background-image: initial; background-position: initial; background-repeat: initial; background-attachment: initial;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt; color: #212121;\">In response to this activity, Elyzabeth B.
