 Still in the Dean’s Talk series of events, on October 10, 2015, UPH organize another Dean’s Talk for Computer Science Faculty (FIK). Dean’s Talk FIK introduced three Study Program (Prodi), namely Information Systems, Information Technology, and Computer Systems. Attending the event was Dean of FIK, Wellianto Halim, B.Sc., M.M., Head of Study Program Information Technology, Irene A. Lazarusli, S. Kom., MT., Head of Study Program Computer Systems, Arnold Aribowo, ST., MT. dan FIK lecturer, Ririn Ikana Desanti, S. Kom., M. Kom.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Dean’s Talk FIK begins with the presentation of each Prodi continued with more information by Dean of FIK, Wellianto Halim, B.Sc., MM, concluding the three majors and each role in the industrial world. He explained that the three majors above are interrelated, in short, Department of Information Systems has more to do with the information management of a company, Department of Informatics means that the domain is the part of application developers or software (software), while the Department of Computer Systems domain is the hardware (hardware) or a program that is applied to a moving machine.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

He also explained that in a world with increasingly advanced technology and attached to the Internet (Internet of Things), the employment opportunities for graduates of FIK are broad and promising. Moreover, UPH FIK is equipped with facilities such as a computer lab for research and development, some of which work together with leading companies engaged in the field of information technology. Some existing facilities that Microsoft Innovation Center, Cisco and Network Security Lab, SAS Statistics Software, Robotic Interface Lab, Multimedia & Web Development Lab and Basic Computer Lab. Given a few facilities that support this, then students will be better equipped, but according to Halim, it all depends on the willingness of each student, whether they want to take advantage of existing facilities or not.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

The event was attended by about 40 parents and prospective students, who give a positive response and attracted in choosing FIK. There are even some students who have signed up to FIK. (Fc\/Mf)<\/span><\/p>\n
