UPH Civil Engineering and its Student Council (Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Sipil) conducted a workshop which was a partnership program with MIDAS Indonesia (PT. Midasindo Teknik Utama) on 27, 28, 30 April 2015 at UPH Karawaci. <\/p>\n\n\n\n

UPH Civil Engineering and its Student Council (Himpunan Mahasiswa Teknik Sipil) conducted a workshop which was a partnership program with MIDAS Indonesia (PT. Midasindo Teknik Utama) on 27, 28, 30 April 2015 at UPH Karawaci. The materials in this MIDAS Workshop were MIDAS Civil<\/strong> ?Integrated Solution System for Bridge and Civil Engineering? by Yoki Tjung, S.T., MIDAS Soilwork<\/strong> ?Geotechnical Solution fre Practical Design? by Ir. Yanus Supartono, and MIDAS Gen<\/strong> ?Integrated Design System for Building and General Structrues? by Darwin Chandra, S.T., M.T. <\/span><\/p>\n

This workshop was participated by 60 practitioners and students from Universitas Indonesia, Institut Teknologi Bandung, Universitas Parahyangan, Universitas Negeri Semarang, Universitas Tanjungpura Pontianak, Universitas Sumatera Utara and top-notch consulting companies in Indonesia, such as PT Wijaya Karya, PT Wiratman, PT Bukaka, PT. Ketira Engineering Consultants dan PT. Delta Global Struktur.<\/span><\/p>\n

Currently, with over 250 developers and structural engineering with extensive experience, MIDAS takes number 1 Market Share in Civil Engineering Software Solution.   <\/span><\/p>\n

PT. Midasindo Teknik Utama has been supporting and cooperating with UPH Civil Engineering since 2012. PT Midasindo Teknik Utama has donated MIDAS softwares (MiDAS Gen, MIDAS Civil, MIDAS GTS dan MIDAS FEA) to Computational Civil Engineering laboratories. The software really supports the learning process especially in Final Project and research.<\/span><\/p>\n

Since 2013, MIDAS and UPH Civil Engineering have been routinely conducting a workshop. Through this cooperation, UPH Civil Engineering aims to become a MIDAS Engineering Centre for academicians and practitioners. ?In the future, this program will be set further to become an internal program which is compulsory for all UPH Civil Engineering students and that can be an value added for them. Therefore, the link and match between UPH Civil Engineering curriculums and construction industry can be more real, so UPH Civil Engineering can generate more competitive and ready to plunge into the real work,? explained Dr.-Ing. Jack Widjajakusuma, the Head Department of UPH Civil Engineering.<\/span><\/p>\n

The students also gained benefits from this partnership in terms of academic aspect as well as networking. ?For us, this workshop really enriches my knowledge regarding the civil engineering practices so we are more readily equipped to the real work practices after graduation because in fact this workshop is certainly practical. It can be seen through the participants who commonly come from the big consulting companies,? said Valencia Vaustina (Civil Engineering 2013), the Head Committee of MIDAS Civil Workshop 2015.
