Dalam rangka menjembatani alumni UPH dengan para pelaku industri, UPH Alumni & Corporate Relations bekerjasama dengan partner industri mengadakan Company Gathering 2015, pada hari Jumat, 13 Febuari 2015. Menurut Budi Legowo, Vice President for External Coorporation & Business Development UPH, melalui acara ini, industri bisa mengenal alumni UPH dan merupakan kesempatan bagi pimpinan fakultas untuk memperkenalkan konsep pendidikan di UPH kepada pengguna lulusan. ?Mereka bisa berinteraksi langsung dengan tim Human Resources (HR) yang mewakili perusahaannya sehingga saling mengetahui profil lulusan UPH dan karyawan seperti apa yang diharapkan oleh perusahaan?, jelas Budi Legowo.<\/span><\/p>\n

Acara ini diikuti oleh sekitar 83 peserta dari 36 perusahaan dan UPH. Perusahaan-perusahaan tersebut diantaranya Lippo Group, PT. LOWE Indonesia, Ernst & Young, PT. 3M Indonesia, PT. KMK Global, PwC, Ikea Indonesia, dan masih banyak lagi. Hadir pula Dekan dan Ketua Jurusan dari beberapa fakultas.<\/span><\/p>\n

Company Gathering 2015 dikemas dalam bentuk talkshow dengan tema ?How to Engange Gen Y through Great Corporate Culture??. Talkshow menghadirkan tiga pembicara yaitu Christina Nangoi (Consulting Manager Kelly Services Indonesia), Lena Setiawati (General Manager BCA Learning & Development), dan Suwandy (Senior Vice President Commercial Banking HSBC). Christina menjelaskan mengenai karakteristik dari Gen Y sehingga peserta dapat mengenal lebih dalam lagi mengenai generasi yang akan menjadi mayoritas nantinya. Sementara Lena Setiawati, menyampaikan cara membekali dan membangun generasi Y berdasarkan program-program yang dilaksanakan di BCA. Ia menjelaskan program coaching, share vision, drive innovation, create a collaboration, dan work life balance yang dapat menstimulasi dan memotivasi Gen Y.<\/span><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Pembicara terakhir, Suwandy, yang merupakan salah satu Gen Y dan alumni Manajemen UPH 2003, menyampaikan karakteristik menonjol dari Gen Y yang perlu diketahui diantaranya: menggunakan social media, cenderung ambisius, dan membutuhkan social life. ?Open communication sangat dibutuhkan untuk engage dengan Gen Y. Generasi ini juga menuntut jenjang karir yang jelas. Sehingga ia perlu dikomunikasikan dengan jelas apa yang dapat dilakukannya hingga bisa mencapai jenjang karir yang baik?, jelasnya.<\/span><\/p>\n

Bersamaan dengan acara ini, diadakan pula Career Expo selama dua hari, tanggal 13 dan 14 Februari 2015. Expo ini menghadirkan hampir 50 perusahaan dengan pengunjung hampir 1300 orang, terdiri dari mahasiswa tingkat akhir, alumni UPH, dan juga publik.(ca)<\/span><\/p>\n
