Karen Daniela and Firman Daud, Ambassadors of UPH 2014<\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n

?Ambassadors of UPH? is one of the biggest event held by the Student Executive Council, Badan Eksekutif Mahasiswa<\/em> (BEM UPH). Ambassadors of UPH 2015 aimed to search for the representatives of UPH students who are able to spread the positive impacts for the entire UPH students as well as becoming the icon and ambassadors who breathe the vision and mission of UPH. Likewise, Ambassadors of UPH 2015 had a goal to elevate the sense of belongings from each student in each faculty. Therefore, a role model who has ABC criteria (Appearance, Brain, and Character) must be searched from each faculty. This event was the renewed version of the annual event of Miss UPH Scholar, which in the beginning looked for a female ambassador only. This time, males were also given the opportunity to come out as the ambassadors.

 <\/p>\n\n\n\n

The final and crowning night of Ambassadors of UPH was held at UPH Grand Chapel on March 9th<\/sup>, 2015. Various artists from external and internal UPH like Vidi Aldiano, Eunomia, Boby Limijaya band, and special performance of Ambassadors of UPH finalists performed in this event. <\/span><\/div>\n

Other supports came from UPH leaders such as Raymond Liu, Ph.D., President of UPH, Connie Rasilim, S.S., B.Ed., M.Pd, as Vice President for Academic Affairs and Dr. Bethany J. Schuttinga, Senior Advisor of UPH.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n

Raymond Liu in his speech sent his appreciation to BEM UPH and the committees coordinated by Jocelyn Cahyadi as the head of committee of their dedications for more than half a year to prepare this event. ?Hopefully, this event could generate UPH representatives who could live and speak out the vision, mission, and core values of UPH also at the same time, express ideas of transformation to this campus,? said Raymond Liu.<\/span>

After following all phases of auditions, development class, and quarantine, then finally 2 winners, a pair of female and male students, were chosen on Grand Final. The 20 finalists were selected directly by the fully experienced judges. They were Stephen L. Metcalfe, MA., Director of Sports Department, Kevin Hendrawan, L-men of The Year 2014, Andri Oarto, Chief Operating Officer of PT Greencap NAA Indonesia, Irma Janita, Cici Jakarta 2013 and 2nd<\/sup> Runner Up Miss Chinese Cosmos South East Asia 2014, and Kanti Wijaya, the World Miss University Media 2014, Miss University Indonesia 2013, and Miss Earth Indonesia 2013. At the end of the show, judges announced the selected finalists and crowned them as the Ambassadors of UPH. They are Karen Daniela, Management 2014 and Firman Daud, International Relations 2014. <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

One boomerang yet also a determinant question from one of the judges, Stephen L. Metcalfe, could be answered undoubtedly by Karen and Firman. The key question was ?As UPH ambassador, how could we point out a Godly masculinity\/femininity?? Both agreed that the role model for this should be Jesus Christ as a whole, from purity, love, responsibility, gentleness, leadership, intelligence, all must be showed up from what is inside, not only limited to outer appearance.<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

?Based on the theme of Ambassadors of UPH ?Timeless Impact?, it is hoped that the finalists an even the winner could consistently give impacts to the society, especially UPH,? said Jocelyn Cahyadi, Interior Design 2012, Head of Ambassadors of UPH.<\/strong> <\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

?Through this event, hopefully the ambassadors of UPH are the ones who are genuine and deserved to be an example representing ABC (Appearance, Brain, and Character), henceforth there are more UPH representatives who will promote UPH in a better way.?
