Dr. Raymond Liu as the President of UPH said, ?Medan will be one of the biggest cities and most dynamic in Southeast Asia. We are taking a first step to build a world class-university in Medan and hoping that this university will be a blessing for the community in Medan.?<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/span><\/p>\n

Dr. Mochtar Riady, the founder of Lippo Group, in his speech during the official anouncement of UPH Medan which was attended by 400 guests, said, ? ?In life, we have to contribute in building a country and a nation by increasing economic growth, investment, creating employment, and in the same time, participate in making social welfare, and we get this done through education?.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

 <\/span><\/span><\/p>\n

First step, UPH Medan opened up 10 study programs for 6 faculties, which are Business School, School of Law, School of Design, School of Computer Science, School of Social and Political Sciences, and School of Science and Technology. UPH Medan offered study programs for Management and Accounting that are designed with the accreditation of AACSB with all the lectures are based on international standard. <\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

The official ceremony of UPH Medan Business School was held at the same time during the signing of Memorandum of Understanding between Universitas Pelita Harapan and British Council in their effort of giving the best education in English language for students.<\/span><\/p>\n

?We are grateful that the ministry of education has given the opportunity for us to take part in shaping the future for community in Medan. The support and excitement that we received from all the people in Medan are very positive,? commented John Riady, Executive Dean UPH.<\/span><\/p>\n
