Untuk memperkenalkan School of Philosophy and Divinity kepada khalayak, UPH mengadakan ?Deans T<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"><span>alk? pada hari Sabtu, 26 April 2014 pukul 08.00-11.00 di Lantai 1, Gedung D. Acara ini menghadirkan <\/span>Adriani Gunawan Director of FLA, Hendra Thamrindinta <span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">S.Si., M.Div., Acting Executive Dean of FLA<\/span> dan Dr. Lusian<\/span><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">a Idawatii, S.T., M.T., M.M., Associate Provost.&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Dalam acara ini, Hendra Thamrindinata, S.Si., M.Div., Acting Executive Dean of FLA, menjelaskan bahwa prodi ini dibentuk dengan tujuan untuk menghasilkan lulusan yang bisa menghargai dan menggunakan kemampuan akal budi mereka secara maksimal berdasarkan iman Kristen.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">?Kita percaya dalam pemahaman iman Kristen, akal budi adalah anugerah Tuhan. Namun, masalah yang ditemui sekarang ini, banyak orang Kristen yang belum menggunakan akal budinya secara maksimal khususnya dalam memahami kebenaran. Melalui School of Philosophy and Divinity inilah, UPH melatih peserta didiknya untuk bisa mengkultivasi kemampuan dalam berpikir, menganalisa, menjustifikasi, mensitesakan pemikiran filsafat dan teologi secara koheren dan komprehensif, dan mengimplementasikan pemikiran ini dalam berbagai aspek kehidupan yang di dalamnya setiap orang Kristen dipanggil untuk mewujudnyatakan kehidupan penatalayanan (<i>stewardship<\/i>) yang bertanggung jawab.?, jelas Hendra.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Keunikan dari <i>School of Philosophy and Divinity<\/i> ini adalah didasari oleh Alkitab, Firman Tuhan yang sempurna, diinterpretasi secara koheren di dalam kerangka <i>Reformed Christian Worldview<\/i> <i>and Theology<\/i>, dan digerakkan oleh prinsip utama yaitu Yesus Kristus adalah Sang Logos dari penciptaan (<i>creation<\/i>), akal budi (<i>reason<\/i>) dan inkarnasi (<i>incarnation<\/i>), Iman yang berusaha mencari pemahaman (<i>faith seeking understanding<\/i>), dan filsafat adalah penolong yang menjawab teologi (<i>handmaid<\/i>, <i>ancilla theologiae<\/i>).<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<table>\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<div><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-99\" src=\"https:\/\/olduph.verken.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2014\/04\/images_news_2014_04_spd4.jpg\" alt=\"spd4\" width=\"350\" height=\"232\" \/><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Hendra Thamrindinta S.Si., M.Div., Acting Executive<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Dean of FLA&nbsp;memperkenalkan prodi yang<\/span><\/div>\n<div style=\"text-align: center;\"><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">baru didirikan ini<\/span><\/div>\n<p> <br style=\"text-align: center;\" \/><\/td>\n<td>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Terdapat empat konsentrasi studi dari prodi ini yaitu Teologi, Etika, Apologetika dan Filsafat Terapan. Hendra menjelaskan bahwa kurikulum yang digunakan akan disesuaikan dengan keunikan dari <i>School of Philosophy and Divinity<\/i> yaitu integrasi antara teologi dan filsafat dengan kerangka Christian Worldview, ?Setiap konsentrasi studi akan melibatkan tiga unsur matakuliah dari kategori filsafat, teologi dan liberal arts?.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Program ini tidak hanya ditujukan kepada lulusan SMA melainkan juga terbuka untuk para lulusan S1 yang berminat dengan bidang filsafat dan teologi. Selain itu, prodi ini juga tidak tertutup bagi non-kristen yang berminat untuk belajar mengenai filsafat dan teologi.<\/span><\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Lulusan dari School of Philosophy and Divinity ini akan bekerja pada area-area yang tidak hanya menuntut kemampuan untuk memperoleh informasi melainkan juga menafsir informasi, menimbang bukti-bukti secara cermat, meneliti isu secara mendalam, mengkritisi suatu posisi pemikiran tertentu, membuat pertimbangan nilai, memiliki kepekaan historis, memformulasikan tujuan-tujuan yang rasional, membuat perencanaan secara komprehensif serta terinci, dan memiliki hasrat akan kebenaran. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">?Profesi-profesi yang dapat digeluti adalah pada institusi-institusi pendidikan sebagai tenaga pendidik atau yang lain terkait dengan pendidikan, gereja-gereja baik sebagai guru Injil, pengajar, atau pendeta, organisasi-organisasi keagamaan, Non-Government Organization (NGO), perusahaan-perusahaan yang terkait media, pusat-pusat pelatihan (<i>training center<\/i>) yang berkaitan dengan motivasi, <i>counseling<\/i>, atau keterampilan hidup, <i>entrepreneurs<\/i>, dan penulis,? jelas Hendra.<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">UPH siap menjawab panggilan Tuhan dengan para pengajar yang juga siap mendidik peserta didik dari School of Philosophy and Divinity menjadi lulusan yang mampu berpikir dengan maksimal sesuai dengan iman Kristen dalam mencari kebenaran yang sejati, yang menemukan keutuhannya hanya di dalam Kristus.
