Gerakan Satu Juta Bola adalah program charity yang diselenggarakan oleh Kick Andy Foundation bersama dengan PT Multistrada Arah Sarana. Gerakan Satu Juta Bola bertujuan untuk membantu anak-anak pra sejahtera dalam pendidikannya juga cita-citanya melalui kecintaan mereka terhadap bola. Program ini diikuti oleh 32 anak terpilih dari seluruh Indonesia yang tidak hanya hebat bermain bola tapi juga mempunyai cita-cita yang tinggi untuk Indonesia. <\/span><\/div>\n

Universitas Pelita Harapan mendukung program Gerakan Sejuta Bola sebagai partner dalam pelaksanaan training bola bagi ke-32 anak terpilih yang dilatih oleh pelatih ternama Manchester United Soccer School yaitu Coach Jamie Fitzpatrick dan Coach Michal Bennet. Selama 5 hari, 21-25 Januari 2014, merka melakukan training bola di lapangan bola kampus UPH Karawaci dan tinggal dalam asrama bersama mahasiswa UPH. Banyak pengalaman yang didapat selama mengikuti training camp di UPH. Berikut ini kesan beberapa diantara mereka tentang kampus UPH.<\/span><\/div>\n

\"robert\"<\/td>\nRobert, siswa SMP berumur 13 tahun ini berasal dari Merauke. Walaupun kecintaannya terhadap olahraga bola tinggi, ia memilih untuk menjadi guru nantinya bila sudah dewasa. Ia menganggap bahwa guru adalah salah satu tokoh yang paling mulia. Robert senang sekali ketika ia mengetahui bahwa ia dapat mengikuti pelatihan ini karena ia mendapatkan pengalaman yang baru juga skill bola yang tidak bisa didapatkan secara otodidak. ?Apalagi bisa berlatih di lapangan yang sebagus ini. Saya belum pernah melihat lapangan seperti ini,? kata Robert.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Juan, siswa SMP berumur 13 tahun ini berasal dari Kalimantan. Ia merasa senang sekali dapat mengikuti program pelatihan bola ini karena ia bermimpi untuk menjadi pemain bola terkenal nantinya. Sama seperti Robert, Juan juga mengatakan bahwa ia mendapatkan pengalaman baru, apalagi bertemu dengan teman-teman baru yang juga menyukai hal yang sama. Melihat UPH yang sebesar ini, Juan merasa beruntung bisa menikmati fasilitas-fasilitas sama seperti mahasiswa-mahasiswa UPH lainnya. <\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n

Direktur PT Multistrada Arah Sarana, Peter Tanuri, selaku penyelenggara program Gerakan Sejuta Bola juga mengomentari alasan kenapa ia memilih UPH sebagai camp untuk pelaksanaan training bola pada program ini. ?UPH adalah universitas kandidat pertama yang mempunyai fasilitas memadai untuk training camp. Manchester United kan club bola ternama, tidak mungkin mau melatih pakai lapangan yang sembarangan. Di hari pertama, mereka bilang sama saya kalau mereka kaget dengan tempat yang semodern ini. Mereka kan udah banyak ngajar. Tapi, jarang-jarang ada fasilitas yang memang lengkap banget, ? kata Peter.<\/span><\/div>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n
