Pada hari Rabu lalu (27 Februari 2013), Universitas Pelita Harapan mengadakan Afternoon Tea bersama Dr. (Hon) James T. Riady, founder dari Universitas Pelita Harapan. <\/p>\n

Para orang tua mendengarkan sharing pengalaman hidup oleh Dr. (Hon) James T. Riady<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n

Pada hari Rabu lalu (27 Februari 2013), Universitas Pelita Harapan mengadakan Afternoon Tea bersama Dr. (Hon) James T. Riady, founder dari Universitas Pelita Harapan dengan tema<\/span> “<\/span>Indonesia, Era Globalisasi<\/span>, Masa Depan<\/span> putra dan putri<\/span> kami<\/span>“. Pada saat ini<\/span>, orang tua<\/span> yang tertarik<\/span> untuk mendaftarkan<\/span> anak-anak mereka<\/span> untuk<\/span> melanjutkan pendidikan ke<\/span> Universitas Pelita Harapan<\/span> mendapatkan kesempatan<\/span> untuk mengetahui<\/span> lebih lanjut<\/span> tentang Program<\/span> UPH<\/span> dari<\/span> founder<\/span> dan<\/span> para dosen dari<\/span> masing-masing departemen<\/span> di UPH<\/span>. Bert<\/span>empat<\/span> di<\/span> MYC<\/span> Multi Purpose<\/span> Room<\/span>, Afternoon Tea<\/span> dimulai pada<\/span> 15.00<\/span> WIB.

Sebagai perkenalan terhadap pengalaman studi di UPH, beberapa alumni UPH memberikan testimoni mengenai studi, kehidupan kampus, dan mengapa mereka memilih UPH dan bukan universitas lainnya. Alumni UPH yang memberikan testimonial diantaranya: Vidi Aldiano, penyanyi terkenal dan alumni jurusan manajemen; Samantha Juwita, dari jurusan ilmu komunikasi; Jessie Sutiono, fakultas hukum, Novita, alumni hubungan internasional, dan alumni-alumni lainnya. Mereka mengatakan bahwa mereka memiliki banyak kenangan yang tidak terlupakan selama mereka belajar di kampus ini, terutama karena fasilitasnya yang memadai sehingga mendukung proses belajar mereka, selain itu para dosen juga sangat membantu dan mendukung mereka untuk meraih kesuksesan di dalam belajar. Bagi Video Aldiano, para dosen di Business School sangat ramah dan up-to-date, bahkan ia dapat mengirimkan pesan kepada dosennya melalui Smartphone kapan saja ia membutuhkan konsultasi mengenai disertasinya.<\/span><\/div>\n

Setelah sesi testimoni, Dr. (Hon) James T. Riady menyampaikan pendapatnya mengenai tema Afternoon Tea pada kali itu. Dia mengatakan ada 3 pilar dalam kehidupan, yaitu: keluarga, sekolah, dan tempat ibadah untuk berdoa. Untuk memastikan agar anak-anak kita tidak hanya mahir dalam hard skill dan soft skill, mereka butuh menyeimbangkan dan mengembangkan talenta yang mereka miliki agar tidak bertabrakan, serta memastikan anak-anak kita dididik di tempat mereka bisa bertumbuh, tidak hanya dalam aspek materiil, tapi juga dalam aspek spiritual, itulah alasan mengapa UPH menjawab semua kebutuhan orangtua mereka untuk kepentingan pertumbuhan anak-anak mereka dengan: True knowledge, Faith in God, Godly character.
