Acara ini diadakan sebagai wujud apresiasi dan penghargaan dari pihak universitas kepada mahasiswa UPH baik dalam bidang akademis maupun non-akademis. <\/span><span style=\"line-height: 150%;\">Penghargaan yang diberikan terbagi dalam empat kategori, yaitu kategori individual, kategori program, kategori <em>student organization, <\/em>dankategori miscellaneous. Adanya penghargaan untuk <em>academic excellent <\/em>menjadi sebuah terobosan baru untuk UPH Awards yang ke-6 ini. Penghargaan ini diberikan kepada mahasiswa yang meraih Indeks Prestasi Kumulatif (IPK) di atas rata-rata. Penghargaan terbaru ini diberikan dengan harapan agar mahasiswa UPH semakin terpacu untuk meraih nilai terbaik dalam bidang akademis.<\/span><\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"line-height: 115%;color: black;font-size: 12pt;\">Dalam sambutannya, Connie Rasilim, Wakil Rektor I, menyampaikan bahwa apa yang dilakukan oleh mahasiswa hanya untuk memuliakan Tuhan. Ia mendorong agar mahasiswa UPH berlomba untuk mencapai yang terbaik.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"line-height: 115%;color: black;font-size: 12pt;\">Pemenang <em>Student Volunteer of the Year<\/em>, Theresia Risa Davita, menyampaikan rasa syukurnya kaerna ia mendapat kesempatan untuk menjadi sukarelawan di Kenya, Afrika. Di Kenya Theresia dan tiga teman lainnya mendapat kesempatan untuk melayani warga lokal dan tinggal bersama mereka selama satu bulan. Kegembiaraan itu ditambah lagi dengan penghargaan UPH Awards yang ia peroleh. Perwakilan UPH Choir juga mengucapkan terima kasih atas penghargaan yang mereka peroleh. Puncak acara, diisi dengan penampilan Maliq &amp; D?Essentials.<\/span><\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div>&nbsp;<\/div>\n<div><span style=\"line-height: 115%;color: black;font-size: 12pt;\">Maliq &amp; D?Essentials tampil dengan membawakan tujuh lagu yang langsung disambut meriah oleh tamu dan undangan. Para tamu dan undangan tampak melambaikan tangan mengikuti ketukan dan turut bernyanyi bersama mereka. Sebelum mengakhiri penampilannya, Angga (vokalis Maliq &amp; D?Essentials) membacakan satu pemenang penghargaan terakhir, yaitu <em>HMJ\/SMF of the Year <\/em>yang dimenangkan oleh Senat Mahasiswa Fakultas Sains dan Matematika (FSM). Penghargaan terakhir ini langsung disambut meriah oleh anggota SMF FSM dan juga mahasiswa dari jurusan tersebut.
