UPH invited Minister of State Owned and Enterprise of Indonesia to speak in Distinguished Guest Speaker Seminar Indonesia would soon be a developed country. ?There are more than 130 million people in Indonesia who are not poor. It made our country proud but at the same time it also creates a trouble for the government,? mentioned The Minister of State Owned and Enterprise of Indonesia Dahlan Iskan in his speech at Distinguished Guest Speaker Seminar at UPH Festival 19, on Thursday, August 3, 2012.<\/p>\n

  <\/span>Dahlan again explained that the characteristics of unpoor people were always wanting everything to go fast, spoiled, and brave to deliver harsh critics. Those were the behaviors that created trouble to the government because they couldn?t always act fast, while the bureaucracy of Indonesian government was bounded to the rules that make them go slow. Thus, the interest of 130 million people in Indonesia couldn?t match with the interest of government. People of Indonesia should be more patient to go little bit ?backwards? in order to be at the same directions with government, ?But are people willing to do that?? he asked.<\/p>\n

Poor people in Indonesia today were different with the ones from few years ago. ?Nowadays, poor people usually see the luxury outside their house, so they would think that it is not fair for them?, he explained in his speech. He also added, ?When I was poor, I just enjoyed it, because all people were poor at that time?, he joked.<\/p>\n

It was not only Dahlan Iskan who participated in Distinguish Guest Speaker Seminat at UPH Festival 19, there were also the head of DPD RI Irman Gusman and minister of Tourism and Creative Economy of Indonesia Mari Elka Pangestu with moderator Tjipta Lesmana. (ra\/ch)<\/p>\n
