Menurut Ryan, mahasiswa TI 2009, anggota BEM Departemen Hubungan Eksternal, ?untuk menyampaikan aspirasi tidak harus turun ke jalan atau demo. Masih banyak cara lain yang bisa dilakukan, misalnya melalui diskusi dan edukasi.? <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Karena itulah BEM UPH mengadakan gathering dengan rekan-rekan dari BEM kampus se-Jabodetabek, pada 9 April 2012, di ruang serbaguna MYC, kampus UPH Karawaci. Pada acara dibahas isu-isu seputar demokrasi, kebebasan, liberalisme dan nasionalisme. Untuk memberikan pandangan mengenai topik tersebut, panitia menggelar seminar bertajuk <em>Ketika Pancasila Bertemu Kebebasan<\/em>. Sebagai pembicara hadir Jerry Sambuaga, praktisi politik, dan John Riady, akademisi. Dalam kesempatan diskusi, keduanya banyak membahas mengenai pengaruh liberalisme terhadap nasionalisme. Usai seminar acara dilanjutkan dengan diskusi antar BEM, membahas mengenai nasionalisme dan demokrasi. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>&nbsp;<\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify;\"><span>Acara ini mendapat sambutan hangat dari para peserta yang datang dari 22 kampus, diantaranya LSPR, UMN, Paramadina, Universitas Swadarma dan UI.
