Lahir pada tanggal 16 November, 1982, Chef Edwin memiliki beberapa pekerjaan sebagai ahli gizi, pelatih privat, pembawa acara TV, pemimpin komunitasnya, model, penulis serta musisi. <\/p>\n<table style=\"width: 745px;\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"2\" cellpadding=\"2\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Alumnus UPH, Edwin Lau, bukan hanya sekedar seorang <i>chef<\/i> saja. Lahir pada tanggal 16 November, 1982, Chef Edwin memiliki beberapa pekerjaan sebagai ahli gizi, pelatih privat, pembawa acara TV, pemimpin komunitasnya, model, penulis serta musisi.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">?<i>Chef<\/i> sehat masih menjadi profesi yang langka di Indonesia. <i>Chef<\/i> sehat tidak hanya mengatur kondisi fisik dan mental namun juga mengerti kebutuhan makanan dan nutrisi. Latihan juga diperlukan agar seorang bisa sehat? katanya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Edwin jatuh cinta pertama kali dengan kuliner ketika ia belajar di Sekolah Tinggi Pariwisata Pelita Harapan pada tahun 2000 silam. Dia memilih untuk belajar di UPH karena nilai-nilai Kristen, disiplin yang tinggi, kampus bebas rokok, fasilitas yang bagus serta dosen-dosen yang profesional.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Edwin suka belajar. ?Dulu waktu kuliah, ketika teman-teman saya pergi <i>clubbing,<\/i> saya lebih memilih untuk baca buku di perpustakaan kampus. Saya tidak tahu kenapa. Mungkin ini jalan yang Tuhan rencanakan sehingga saya bisa berbagi dengan yang lainnya. Bila saya tak melakukan hal tersebut, mungkin saya tidak akan dapat sampai di sini sekarang? katanya.<\/span><\/p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Ia memulai karirnya ketika ia magang di Hotel Ritz Carlton Bali. Lulus sebagai salah satu lulusan terbaik UPH, ia langsung bekerja di Grand Hyatt Jakarta. Di tahun 2006, ia harus berhenti karena ia terpilih sebagai salah satu dari 10 besar di kompetisi model ?Be Our Cover Men?s Health?. Sejak saat itu, ia terkenal sebagai <i>Celebrity Chef.<\/i><\/span><\/td>\n<td><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-123\" src=\"https:\/\/olduph.verken.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/06\/images_news_2011_06_aaaedwinlau.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"270\" height=\"416\" \/><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table style=\"width: 745px;\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"2\" cellpadding=\"2\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\">\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Januari 2009, Edwin menyatakan dirinya sebagai <i>Healthy Chef<\/i> (<i>Chef <\/i>Sehat) yang mempunyai tiga peran bersamaan; <i>chef<\/i>, ahli gizi, dan pelatih di program <i>Healthy Life<\/i> di Metro TV. Sekarang, Edwin juga membuka kelas masak untuk umum dengan nama <i>Healthy Kingdom Community<\/i> (Komunitas Kerajaan Sehat).<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Dekat waktu ini, Edwin akan menerbitkan buku resep dengan konsep yang unik yang berisikan resep-resep terbaiknya. Edwin juga mempunyai impian untuk mendirikan sekolahnya sendiri, <i>Healthy Kingdom School <\/i>(Sekolah Kerajaan Sehat), yang bisa menghasilkan <i>chef<\/i> yang bagus.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Di bulan Agustus tahun 2011, Edwin akan pergi ke Amerika Serikat untuk menghadiri pelatihan di Departemen Pertanian Amerika Serikat selama seminggu.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Untuk mahasiswa-mahasiswa UPH, Edwin berpesan untuk giat belajar dan berdoa kepada Tuhan. ?Kerja keras dan usaha kita akan percuma bila tidak di waktu yang tepat. Jadi, biarkan semuanya mengalir, belajar giat hingga waktunya tiba dan kita sudah siap.
