Ini merupakan hasil kurangnya integritas dalam kehidupan orang-orang. Pentingnya memiliki intergritas mendorong Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) untuk berkolaborasi dengan Tiri ? Makin Integrity Work (Membuat Integritas Bekerja), sebuah organisasi non-pemerintah internasional, untuk menyelenggarakan Dialog Integritas berjudul ?Public Integrity in Education Network? (Integritas Publik dalam Jaringan Pendidikan) pada hari Senin, 23 Mei 2011 di UPH Karawaci.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-71\" src=\"https:\/\/olduph.verken.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2011\/05\/images_news_2011_05_integrity-rektor.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"88\" height=\"100\" \/><\/td>\n<td><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Rektor UPH Dr. (Hon) Jonathan L. Parapak, M.Eng.Sc. membuka dialog dengan membagi pengalamanya sebagai Presiden Indosat. ?Dalam pertemuan direksi pertama, saya mendesak mereka untuk berkomitmen pada integritas. Kami mengirim surat kepada mitra perusahaan kami, memberitahu bahwa perushaan manapun yang memberikan komisi atau hadiah ke Indosat akan didiskualifikasi,? kata Parapak. ?Saya diejek. Orang-orang bilang tidak mungkin untuk membangun bisnis di Indonesia dengan integritas. Setelah itu, saya menjabat sebagai presiden Indosat selama sebelas tahun. Komitmen saya adalah integritas,? kata Parapak.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<table style=\"width: 745px;\" border=\"0\" cellspacing=\"2\" cellpadding=\"2\">\n<tbody>\n<tr>\n<td colspan=\"2\">\n<p>Setelah mengamati kasus pendidikan yang dikorupsi di Kenya, Kauffeldt menyarankan empat cara untuk membangun integritas. ?Kejelasan akan nilai, reformasi pendidikan, relevansi, dan keterlibatan masyarakat,? saran Kauffeldt untuk meraih integritas. Murid-murid bisa mencapai integritas ketika mereka merasakan dampak buruk dari korupsi, ?Sampai murid kita merasakan efeknya, tidak akan ada keperluan mendesak untuk berubah,? katanya lagi.<\/p>\n<p> <span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Menjelaskan integritas berdasarkan etimologinya, Sutrisno menyebutkan kata ?integritas?, berasal dari kata latin, <i>integra, integrum<\/i> yang berarti keseluruhan. Ia mengatakan integritas bisa diraih ketika nilai berubah menjadi tindakan nyata. Meraih integritas adalah masalah proses. Hal ini bukan sesuatu yang begitu saja bisa didapatkan. ?Apa yang kita butuhkan adalah program <i>live-in<\/i> untuk menanamkan kepekaan sosial murid-murid,? kata Sutrisno mengenai praktik murid-murid akan integritas.<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Pembahasan ini memberi kesempatan kepada para peserta untuk mendiskusikan dan menyampaikan ide mereka akan integritas. Ada 26 peserta yang dibagi menjadi tiga kelompok: dosen, unit pendukung atau staff, dan mahasiswa. Tiga kelompok memberikan ide dari diskusi yang dilakukan pada akhir acara. ?Ini sesutau yang baru ? tidak hanya menarik tapi juga penting. Menarik karena dialog ini memasukkan tiga elemen dari komunitas akademi. Penting karena tiga elemen tersebut mendapat kesempatan untuk membagikan pengalaman dan pengetahuannya dan berusaha untuk mencapai satu titik ? yaitu integritas,? kata salah satu peserta dialog dari Universitas Indonesia, Irwansyah.<\/span><\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<tr>\n<td>\n<p>The dialogue let the participants to discuss and present their ideas of integrity. There are 26 participant divided into three groups; lecturers, supporting unit or staffs, and students. The three groups then present their ideas from discussion on the last day of the event. ?This is something new ? not only interesting, but also important. It is interesting as the dialogue included three elements of academic community. It is important as the dialogue let the three elements to share their experiences and knowledge and try to find one point ? that is integrity,? said one of the dialogue participants from Universitas Indonesia, Irwansyah.
