Indonesian cultural diversity will bring forth something different, unique, and eventually become a highlight compared to products from other nations. The most important thing is how we prepare ourselves by continuously learning and upgrading ourselves on one particular passion that will be beneficial for us. It was revealed by Raditya Dika on the talkshow  ?3 Keys to Celebrate Asian Diversity? held by International Relations students, UPH FISIP, on October 12, 2010.<\/p>\n

Raditya, a prominent author & comedian and is now working at the creative industry, welcomes the AFTA (Asean Free Trade Area) to be in effect. According to him, free trade would be an opportunity to be more advanced. ?Everybody will compete to be the best,? he said.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n

This program analyzed everything detail about AFTA, a movement organized by countries in South East Asia. It is in the form of free trade, which means that all countries in this particular region will be opened to each other to relate, interact , and even have a mutual cooperation. However, will the diversity richness in South East Asia hinder this free trade process? And how is Indonesia?s position as one of the AFTA members?<\/p>\n

The two speakers in this talkshow, Raditya and Jerry Sambuaga (a lecturer & politician), delivered their points of view from different perspectives. As a politician, Jerry Sambuaga explained about AFTA from the government point of view. He thought that the government should be transparant and that it should clarify to people about AFTA. One of the main problems in Indonesian free trade is complicated & unpractical bureaucracy, not to mention corruption in it. What needs to be done by Indonesia is showing quality ? as a prime asset to face this free trade.<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n\n\n\n\n

Ribka Oyong (Miss Indonesian Tourism 2008) hosted this program lively with casual discussion, while at the same time it was actually a program with lots of important information for students in this era. The talkshow which was a part of International Relations Fiesta program was attended by more than 150 participants.
