Idealnya, 1 orang dokter spesialis neusurogery menangani 250.000 orang. Di Indonesia sekarang, 1 orang dokter spesialis melayani 1.250.000 orang. Jadi dibutuhkan lebih banyak pelatihan untuk kasus neurosurgery di Indonesia,, ? ujar Prof. peter Balck, President of World Neurosurgical Societies, Harvard Medical School dalam konfrensi pers Pengukuhan Guru Besar dalam Ilmu Bedah Saraf FK UPH, di Karawaci (17\/04).<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\">&nbsp;<\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\">Menurut Prof. Dr. dr. Eka Julianta Wahjoepramono, SpBs. , kasus pecahnya aneurisma di Indonesia mencapai kurang lebih 27.000 kasus\/ tahun. Jumlah ini tidak sebanding dengan negara lain yang bisa mencapai puluhan ribu per tahun.? Keadaan ini karena ketidakmengertian dokter dan rakyat. Penyakit ini (aneurisma) kadang dianggap penyakit biasa. Oleh karena itu kita sudah melakukan promosi ke masyarakat sejak 15 tahun yang lalu. ?ujar Dr. Eka<\/p>\n<\/td>\n<\/tr>\n<\/tbody>\n<\/table>\n<p style=\"text-align: justify; line-height: 150%;\">Hal ini semakin memprihatinkan karena proses penanganan penyakit ini memakan waktu dan biaya yang tidak sedikit. <span>Ditambah lagi, tidak semua rumah siap melakukan operasi ini karena keterbasan alat dan dokter spesialis. Kebanyakan rumah sakit, terlebih di daerah hanya melakukan operasi-operasi untuk trauma kecelakaan. Rumah Sakit Siloam sendiri menangani lebih dari 300 kasus selama 14 tahun. <\/span><span>Ini adalah jumlah terbanyak dari semua rumah sakit di Indonesia. ? <\/span><span>Penyakit aneurisma, saya sudah ngecek di luar negeri, itu adalah penyakit yang treatmentnya paling mahal, dan disini semua peralatan masih impor. Jadi kita akan berusaha menolong, tapi tidak dengan cara menurunkan standar. ? tambah Dr. Eka. Sebagai perbandingan, di tarif ICU di US mencapai 3000 dolar\/ hari, sedangkan Indonesia, biaya ICU hanya sekitar 300 dolar\/ hari. <\/span><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-241\" src=\"https:\/\/olduph.verken.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2010\/04\/images_news_2010_04_dr.-eka-3.jpg\" alt=\"\" width=\"386\" height=\"288\" \/><\/p>\n<p style=\"text-align: center;\"><em><strong>Eka J. Di Siloam, kalo pasien tidak mampu akan diberikan biaya gratis untuk jasa dokter. ? Tapi yang jadi masalah, ketika mereka masuk di ICU, alatnya tidak bisa gratis. Itu yang makan biaya puluhan sampai ratusan juta rupiah, ? tambah Dokter Eka.
