Tahun ini merupakan tahun ke 19 acara UPH Festival diadakan. Selain untuk menyambut mahasiswa baru, acara ini juga mengundang orang tua mahasiswa baru dan juga terbuka bagi siswa\/i SMA dari berbagai sekolah di Jabodetabek. Sebanyak 1.697 siswa datang selama acara UPH Festival 19. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><img decoding=\"async\" class=\" size-full wp-image-3\" src=\"https:\/\/olduph.verken.id\/wp-content\/uploads\/2012\/08\/images_news_2012_08_img_5372.jpg\" alt=\"img 5372\" width=\"552\" height=\"367\" \/><br \/><span style=\"font-size: 8pt;\">Rektor UPH menyambut kedatangan orang tua mahasiswa baru<\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\"> Parents Gathering merupakan acara tahunan yang bertujuan untuk mendekatkan keluarga khususnya orang tua mahasiswa dengan kampus tempat dimana putra\/i mereka menempuh pendidikan. Selain mengenal lingkungan kampus, para orang tua juga diperkenalkan dengan para dekan fakultas dan ketua jurusan. sekitar 500 orang tua hadir pada acara ini. <\/span><\/p>\n<p><span style=\"font-size: 10pt;\">Dalam acara ini hadir juga, pendiri Yayasan Pendidikan Pelita Harapan, Bapak James Riady. Pada sambutannya kepada para orang tua, ia mengatakan, sekarang ini mahasiswa tidak hanya membutuhkan keahlian dalam satu bidang yang diambilnya saja, melainkan mereka membutuhkan berbagai keterampilan yang dapat mendukung fungsi mereka kelak secara utuh di tengah masyarakat. Untuk tujuan tersebut, UPH mempersiapkan kurikulum yang mendukung pendidikan holistik guna memenuhi kebutuhan pengetahuan pada bidang yang mereka ambil serta bidang lainnya seperti karakter dan&nbsp; keimanan.
