Potential human resources were needed in Indonesia?s government during this global crisis, especially in the field of multilateral trading policies. <\/p>\n

Lippo Village (26\/5) ? ?Indonesia owns excellent human resources, especially in these last three years. Our nation has the potentials that exceed other countries?, which can be seen from our international physics competition champions, international math competition champions, and many others,? said Director of Trade, Industry, Investment, and HKI DEPLU, Asianto Sinambela, in the seminar held by Universitas Pelita Harapan?s (UPH) Faculty of Law on Tuesday (26\/5).<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Those potential human resources, said Sinambela, were needed in Indonesia?s government during this global crisis, especially in the field of multilateral trading policies. “We really need people in our government who are expert in multilateral trading policies. But beforehand, they should fully understand our own trading policies,? he said.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Sinambela also said that the lack of government?s law practitioners was one significant cause of troubles happening in Indonesia?s market. He asserted that the government and several entrepreneurs still had difficulties to negotiate maximally in multilateral trading relationship due to their lack of understanding of internationally standardized World Trade Organization?s (WTO) trading policy.<\/p>\n

Adding Sinambela?s statement, National Team Advisor for International Trade Negotiation, Adolf Warouw, stated that in the multilateral trading agreement, Indonesia needed proactive law practitioners who could grasp and create concepts in planning strategies during globalization.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

He said, if Indonesia wanted to be successful during globalization, the government should renew their regional trading regulations beforehand. ?We must see how ready we are in trading policies. We need to improve our policies, making them bring benefits to our national market development,? he said.<\/p>\n

To Warouw and Sinambela statements, UPH?s Faculty of Law Teacher, Jessica Los Banos, stated that Indonesia?s educational institutions had to start educating their students with specific lessons about international trading policies.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

?Education will improve the nation?s quality of life and performance in many areas such as economy, governmental, multilateral relationship, infrastructure, and many more,? said Jessica.<\/p>\n

<\/div>\n

Therefore, she said, education of international law policies should be improved and adjusted with the educational institutions? curriculum. She advised some specific lessons such as private international trade law, public international trade law or international economic law, regional trade laws, and domestic commercial law.<\/p>\n

Jessica also stated, law students? education should also include knowledge development of regional trading policies as well. ?Therefore, we will not only be able to create qualified law practitioners who are able to solve daily law problems, but also able to join the government and develop new trading policies domestically and internationally,? she said.<\/div>\n","protected":false},"excerpt":{"rendered":"
