Tidak hanya soal prestasi akademik, tetapi juga bagaimana menjaga tubuh, pikiran, dan hati tetap seimbang di tengah dinamika kampus. Dalam sesi <em>Health &amp; Wellness<\/em> UPH Festival 2025, Dr. Stephen L. Metcalfe, Director of Sports UPH, membagikan empat pilar penting agar mahasiswa baru bisa menjalani masa kuliah dengan bugar, fokus, dan damai.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cEmpat pilar ini adalah fondasi untuk hidup seimbang. Tubuh yang terawat bukan hanya menjaga kesehatan, tetapi juga mendukung performa akademik, memperkuat relasi sosial, dan menopang pertumbuhan rohani. Jika mahasiswa mampu menata keempat pilar sejak awal, mereka akan lebih siap menghadapi tantangan perkuliahan dengan kokoh,\u201d ungkap Dr. Stephen, yang akrab disapa <em>Coach<\/em> Met.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"1\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Bergerak Setiap Hari<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Otot bukan hanya pembentuk tubuh, tapi juga \u201cmesin\u201d yang menggerakkan organ, termasuk otak. Saat berkontraksi, otot memproduksi <strong><em>Brain-Derived Neurotrophic Factor<\/em><\/strong><strong> (BDNF)<\/strong> yang menjaga kesehatan otak.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip:<\/strong> Lakukan aktivitas fisik harian seperti jalan cepat, <em>stretching<\/em>, atau olahraga ringan. Ingat, pikiran yang tajam dimulai dari tubuh yang aktif.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"2\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Pilih Makanan Murni dan Sehat<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Apa yang masuk ke tubuh akan menjadi bahan bakar atau racun, tergantung pilihan kita. \u201cPilih makanan alami dengan bahan sesedikit mungkin dan tidak diolah berlebihan,\u201d jelas <em>Coach<\/em> Met.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip:<\/strong> Utamakan protein berkualitas, konsumsi karbohidrat, lemak sehat, dan serat dalam porsi seimbang. Minum air mineral cukup dan batasi minuman manis atau kemasan.\u00a0<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"3\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Prioritaskan Tidur Berkualitas<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Tidur adalah momen tubuh memperbaiki diri, memulihkan energi, dan memproduksi hormon pertumbuhan. Waktu tidur terbaik adalah antara pukul 21.00\u201302.00 dini hari.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip:<\/strong> Tidurlah 7\u20138 jam setiap malam, hindari menatap gawai menjelang tidur, jaga suhu kamar tetap sejuk, dan jangan mengorbankan waktu istirahat demi lembur tugas. Semua ini dapat tercapai jika memiliki manajemen waktu yang baik dan tidak menunda pekerjaan, sehingga tugas tidak menumpuk dan menjadi beban.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<ol start=\"4\" class=\"wp-block-list\">\n<li><strong>Jaga Kesehatan Mental<\/strong>\u00a0<\/li>\n<\/ol>\n\n\n\n<p>Kesehatan mental yang baik membuat kita lebih fokus dan mampu mengelola stres. <em>Coach <\/em>Met menyarankan teknik <em>box breathing<\/em>\u2014tarik napas 4 detik, tahan 4 detik, hembuskan 4 detik.&nbsp;&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Tip:<\/strong> Luangkan waktu untuk doa, menenangkan diri, atau refleksi diri. Hindari membandingkan hidup dengan orang lain, dan fokus pada pengembangan diri.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p><strong>Fokus pada Pertumbuhan Diri<\/strong>&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>\u201cBerhenti membandingkan diri dengan orang lain. Jangan terjebak dalam ilusi bahwa hidup orang lain lebih sempurna. Setiap manusia memiliki kekurangan masing-masing. Tidak perlu bersaing dengan siapa pun. Jadikan tahun pertama kuliah sebagai kesempatan untuk meningkatkan kualitas diri,\u201d tegas Coach Met.&nbsp;<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Acara <em>Health &amp; Wellness<\/em> bukan sekadar tips gaya hidup sehat, melainkan bagian dari upaya UPH membentuk mahasiswa baru menjadi pribadi yang utuh.
