Architecture
UPH ARCHITECTURE provides students with fundamental knowledge and architectural skills through explorative design in responding to the rapid progression of technology and the on-going cultural changes.
Within an intensive four-year program, our academic agendas are focus on how to see structure, buildings, and cities as one continuous and inter-related aspects of built environment
– ranges from interior space to urban intervention in conjunction with theoretical understanding of history and critical thinking.
The first-half of the program, students will be studying architecture in regards to humanistic disciplines through the exploration of art and sciences. These aspects of study are carried out in writing skills, drawing exercises, two and three-dimensional visual design testing, model making, and theoretical thinking.
The second-half of the program, students will be designing architecture in regards to professional discipline through
the explorations of building organization, systems, and ergonomic needs. These aspects of study are carried out in programming design skills, material & tectonics operations, computational design making, building quantitative analysis, and social & environmental impact investigations.
