This is a momentous occasion where we celebrate the beginning of a new academic journey for our incoming students. It is with great joy and anticipation that we welcome you into the community of Universitas Pelita Harapan, a university committed to excellence, transformation, and Christ- centered education.
This year’s theme, “For I Know to Whom I Have Believed” (2 Timothy 1:12), is more than a verse—it is a declaration of faith, identity, and purpose. The Apostle Paul’s words remind us that our confidence is not rooted in our own strength, but in the unwavering faithfulness of Christ. As you step into this new chapter, we invite you to anchor your journey in the One who knows you, calls you, and equips you for every good work.

We believe that true knowledge begins with the fear of God, and that academic excellence must be lived out Godly in spiritual depth and moral integrity rooted in the Christocentric faith. The mission of Universitas Pelita Harapan is to provide holistic transformational learning, rooted in Scripture and a Reformed theological framework; to contribute
to the advancement of knowledge
and culture, guided by a Christ- centered biblical worldview; to engage redemptively in the development of individuals and society for the glory of God.

We honor the diversity of backgrounds represented in our student body, and we are committed to walking alongside each of you with clarity, compassion, and courage.
