Prominent Figures Open Up New Students? Horizon

Sri Sultan will talk about Culture in the Global Education.Adnan Buyung Nasution, speaking on the topic ?The Global Perspective of Indonesia Legal System?, etc.

Sri Sultan Hamengkubowno X and other prominent figures will become keynote speakers at the peak of UPH Festival this morning (19/8) at the UPH campus, Karawaci.

Sri Sultan will talk about Culture in the Global Education. Other national figures to give speech at the event include Adnan Buyung Nasution, speaking on the topic ?The Global Perspective of Indonesia Legal System?.

Today, Dr Adhyaksa Dault, Minister of Youth and Sport will speak about ?Enhancing the national sport accomplishment?.

Rector of Universitas Indonesia (UI), Prof Dr Gumilar Somantri, are also one of the speakers. He will address the issue of ?Global Strategy for Quality Education?.

Another speaker from UPH is the Dean of Medical Faculty, dr Eka Julianta Wahjoepramono on ?How the brain rules World Globalization?.

Another national figures, including the presidential spokesman, Andi Malarangeng, is going to speak on ?Communicating in Global Perspective? tomorrow, Wednesday (19/8).

The same day, General Agum Gumelar will speak on ?Nationalism in global perspective?.

Next on, Jusman Syafii Djamal, the Minister of Transportation, will speak about ?Winning the Global Competition? in the events held to celebrate the 15th UPH Festival.

Two other speakers are the famous Indonesian composer, Addie MS, speaking on ?Building a new Indonesia with music?, while in another parallel session, Betti S. Alisyahbana, central figure of IBM Indonesia will speak about ?The New World of ICT?.

UPH Festival, opened August 16, will also present some other spectacular events, including the all-night Gala Concert, with thousands of spectators from students, parents, alumnae, and general public.

Gala Concert, initiated by the UPH Conservatory of Music is a proof that UPH gives full attention to the development of students? talents as part of holistic, transformative, and integrative philosophy of education pursued by the Pelita Harapan Foundation.

Additionally, this year UPH Festival will also hold contemporary dance and sport competition.

Another similar event is also opened by Prof. Jonathan L Parapak, the Rector of UPH, today in Surabaya.

UPH Festival is a new breakthrough to replace the old tradition of ?hazing?.

The main reason behind it is for the students to begin their academic year with hearts filled with joy and enthusiasm in achieving glittering achievement and high creativity in the world stage.
