Pelita Harapan University (UPH) has become the first education institution to be given the opportunity to exhibit the works of America?s legendary designers, Charles and Ray Eames.
Pelita Harapan University (UPH) has become the first education institution to be given the opportunity to exhibit the works of America?s legendary designers, Charles and Ray Eames. The Eames have created innovative and attractive visual pictures which grab the attention of people in the US as well as those in other countries.

The photography exhibition was a cooperation between Product Design Faculty of UPH and Herman Miller, a modern furniture organization based in the US. More than one hundred pictures of the Eames were brought from the US. The masterpieces are displayed at the Johannes Oentoro Library from February 10-20, 2009.
Earns chose various objects as his inspirations, from fruits, telephone handle, a pack of colorful pencils, a pair of Japanese sandals, home equipments to old and modern buildings.
The head of Product Design Department of UPH, Firlia Lesmana, stated that such exhibition needs to be held more often to help inspire the students to be more creative.
