Nowadays, job competitions had become more and more acute. The challenges from work environments had force every individual to compete against thousands of other individuals who are longing for jobs.
All of the above had been pointed out by Senior Business Development Consultant PT JAC Indonesia, Dally M. Subagijo,? in the seminar How to Beat the Job Market Competition. Dally had taken Master Management Program in UPH and also have a bachelor degree in Universitas Indonesia. The seminar was held on Thursday, February 19th 2009 and was a product of the cooperation between UPH? s Students Executive Board (BEM UPH) with JAC Indonesia, a corporation concentrating on the area of workforce recruitment consulting.
Dally had pointed out a few things that are important to face the more burdening job competition. First, one of the important things is to know oneself and the environment. Jonathan L. Parapak had stated this similar thing in a different seminar. Doing so, someone would be able to build and develop the his own capacity.
The second step is to make plans. This step is important to determine whether or not we are able to be a successful professional. Without making any appropriate plan, our career would be obstructed eventually.
The third step is the most important one, which is implementation. Everything that have been planned would actually be useless without execution. Implementation could be done by expanding our network, for example having par time jobs or internships. Therefore, we will be able to dig up knowledge and experience in the areas we like.
Jonathan L. Parapak, Rector of UPH,?in the seminar The Path of Being a Top Professional Who Climbs the Corporate Leadder, on Tuesday, February 17th 2009, had added that the key to be a professional is learning. Not only learning to increase technical competency, but also to increase emotional competency, which is also important to be developed.
Both seminars had been two of the many agendas of Professional Goes to Campus event. This event was organized by Student Executive Board of UPH (BEM UPH) who cooperated with some famous professional organizations such as Nutrifood, Astra, Power PR, Siloam Hospitals, AIG Group, English First, and many others.?
Through these seminars, hopefully the students will be ready to step on and fact work environments. Be ready to get the opportunity to work in well-known companies. Be ready to compete fairly in presenting the real personal quality.
