The opening of the Vice Rector III forum Coordination Board of Indonesia Christian Higher Education (Badan Koordinasi Perguruan Tinggi Kristen Indonesia – BKPTKI).

Karawaci (30/10) – This afternoon was held the opening of the Vice Rector III forum Coordination Board of Indonesia Christian Higher Education (Badan Koordinasi Perguruan Tinggi Kristen Indonesia – BKPTKI) in building F203 Pelita Harapan University, Lippo Village.
This forum was opened by UPH Rector who also served as chairman of BKPTKI Jonathan L. Parapak. In his speech he said, “Until now, Christian universities are still looking for a university model that Lord wanted to be a true Christian university.”
Parapak also added the importance of developing a holistic education as applied in UPH. “There were now 39 credits in UPH that are Christian and humanity nuanced. This is important so that students really understand the word of God and can become a whole person with a master of science and technology and faith in God,” he said.
In the opening of the forum was the UPH Vice Rector III, Soedomo as advisor for student affairs deliver four things that will be discussed during the forum which lasted until 1 November. The fourth thing is mentoring, personal development, student affairs, and soft skills or social skills.
A total of 16 vice rector III of every Christian university who attended this forum are sharing their university conditions now and struggles they face. Some universities who attended were UKRIDA, UHKBP Nomensen (Minangkabau), UKI Maluku, UKI Makassar, STIE Sumba, UKI Toraja, and Ciputra.
Hopefully with this kind of forum, Christian universities in Indonesia can share their experiences and exchange ideas about student affairs, especially since students are spearheading the success of a college. (cynruslan)
