Career Development and Alumni Center (CDAC) Universitas Pelita Harapan, once again held a Job and Internship Fair (JIF) on 22 to 23 April 2010. Located in room D502,
“The zest is increasing from year to year. Last year, there were about 300 UPH students attended JIF, and this year there are about 470 UPH students and 345 non-UPH students participating in JIF 2010,” said the person in charge of this event ? Dharmanita Kusumaningrum, or usually called Nita.
JIF?s purpose is certainly to facilitate UPH graduates? career paths. “Hence, we intentionally held it at the same time of pre-graduation events. As on Thursday (22/04), before or after the graduation briefing, students could immediately visit the JIF, because the venues were very close to each other,” added Nita.
According to the data from several years back, UPH students who submitted their job applications during this kind of Job Fair were quite a lot. “I can?t really mention the exact number, but definitely above 50% were accepted at prestigious companies through similar job fairs,” said Nita. UPH CDAC has always recorded the data once the Job Fair was over, and when it got news from relevant companies.
There were 27 companies that attended JIF this year. “We choose companies that are credible and reputable. Some of them have repeatedly joined our Job Fair, such as Astra International and Kompas Gramedia Magazine,” said Nita.
