UPH Festival 17: Kick Andy of Air

Kick Andy Off Air also enlivened UPH Festival 17. At the opening of the program, the audiences were entertained by a duet performance by Endah and Resha, the two alumnus from UPH?s Music Faculty. It made the audience enthusiastically waited for the presenter Andy F. Noya.

As usual, Andy invited guest stars who will become the topics in his talkshow. With a theme of ?Soul Lantern?, Andy presented Wahyu Aditya and Yoris Sebastian.

Wahyu Aditya came from a family whose most of its members have received medical education.  In fact, his father serves as a dean of one medical faculty and all this time he has been forced to become a doctor too. However, Aditya has a totally different calling. He wants to be an animator.

He tried to deny the demand and pressure from his parents because he really wanted to pursue career in the creative industry. Finally his passion and persistence toward his interest bring forth fruits.

Today, Aditya has built an animation school, annual festival and a shirt store under PT. Hello Motion Korpora Indonesia. ?Life is but a moment, why don?t we choose something that we really like,? he said.

Different to Aditya who is an animator, Yoris Sebastian is a General Manager of Hard Rock Caf? at age 26. Without any bachelor degree and only graduated from high school, Yoris? will to work hard has brought him to the peak of career in one of the most well known companies. ?A great desire and will to work hard will take us to reach our dreams,? he said.

Find your interest, do it diligently and never give up, was the message delivered to the new students of 2010 and the audience who attended the talkshow at Grand Chapel, UPH on Friday, 13 August 2010. (oas)
