UPH Master of Civil Engineering in Cooperation with IAMPI

UPH Master of Civil Engineering signed the extension of manuscript cooperation with IAMPI (Association of Indonesian Project Management Experts) on Thursday (21/10) at UPH Graduate – New Campus, Plaza Semanggi. The manuscript cooperation signing was done by Manlian Ronald A. Simanjuntak, Chairman of UPH Master of Civil Engineering, and Dr. Hari Gumuruh Soeparto as the Chairman of IAMPI.

The cooperation which began in 2004, conducted as a form of awareness of the importance of quality competence in construction labor. It is also to answer the needs of professionals in the Project Management field, considering that currently Indonesia is at third rank leading construction needs, after China and India. “IAMPI who has engaged since 1996 worked to spread the competence of project management. It is expected that this knowledge (Project Management-red) can be more realized on the importance of how to achieve a goal efficiently, “explained Hari.

There are two programs conducted as a form of this cooperation which are the Professional Certification program in the field of Project Management within UPH Master of Civil Engineering and also the development of Project Management knowledge and study or research in related fields.Simak

Through this cooperation, UPH will prepare the professional certification process and team teaching in the course ?International Project Management?. For Master of Civil Engineering’s graduate who wishes to obtain professional certification can follow the exam and assessments held by IAMPI. “With knowledge base they have, students can obtain professional certification more easily,” said Manlian.

Currently IAMPI is establishing cooperation with international parties such as the Asia Pacific, which is expected that IAMPI certificate can also be recognized and accepted internationally later. (feb)
