UPH Career Center: Dedication to Industry

On Friday, April 15, 2011 UPH Career Development and Alumni Center, now known as ?Career Center,? hold Company Gathering and the MOU signing to mark the cooperation between UPH and 16 companies. This event was attended by 40 companies.

Company Gathering began with training session themed ?Performance Management? brought by Aditya Sudarto, Solution Manager from Daya Dimensi Indonesia. The session was followed by the presentation from UPH Karawaci and UPH Surabaya Career Center.

Sixteen companies signed MOU regarding the cooperation with UPH. The mutual partnership includes recruitment, internship program, part time program, company tour, career class, on campus recruitment, and many more.

One of the programs that was held by Career Center regarding their dedication to alumni and industry is Job Fair. UPH Job Fair was held on April 13-14, 2011. With 47 companies joining the event, the fair was started from 10.00-17:00 in UPH D502 and opened for UPH students, alumni, and the public.

Dian from PT. Nutrifood said that, ?this is the umpteenth time we follow the UPH Job Fair, and from this program about 10 alumni were recruited. In general we prioritize the student who is active in organizations such as BEM, or award?s achievers. So far, their performance is excellent and the ability to build relationships with their customers is also good.?

Another HR agreed with this. Victoria from PT. Lautan Luas Tbk. Said, ?our company is interested to UPH graduates. From some times followed the Job Fair at UPH we succeeded to recruit 20 graduates who currently join. They are great and can adapt and interact well.? (dee/pty)
