Easter is coming very soon. To celebrate the holy day of Jesus? resurrection, Spiritual Growth hold an Easter Celebration on Wednesday, April 20, 2011 at UPH Grand Chapel themed Paid. The theme explained how our sins have been washed away, redeemed, and paid by the Holy Christ?s death. About the theme, Spiritual Growth Manager Andry M. Panjaitan, ST, MT. explained that the theme is the answer of the committee?s prayer. ?The theme talks about how God have paid each one of us with His death on the cross to free, release, and redeem us,? said Andry. The event was celebrated festively with music, dance, and a special video made regarding the theme. To estimated 500 participants, the speaker Alfred Anggui explained the meaning of Easter. Vice President for Student Development and Spiritual Growth Dr. J. Kirk Kauffeldt, Ed.D. encouraged UPH students to live with the spirit of Easter everyday. Kirk said, ?I think the spirit of Easter is something that we live with everyday. I think we celebrate it once a year but being grateful for what God?s done for us and being able to even pray and have the sense that God is with us and his presence is with us. Everyday is Easter.?
