Association of Collegiate Sport Indonesia (ACSI) Libamanas enlivened the UPH Festival 18 “Together in Harmony” by holding a Sports Symposium on Friday, August 5, 2011 at MYC Multipurpose Room, Universitas Pelita Harapan. Sport Symposium discussed the changes of the system about Libamanas (Liga Basket Mahasiswa Nasional – National Students Basketball League), with speakers Anggito Abimanyu, Chairman of the Basketball Association of Indonesia (Perbasi), and Stephen Metcalfe, Director of Sport UPH. This event was attended about 30 participants consisting of Perbasi officials and representatives from other universities. Hopefully the system changes will bring fairness to the game. In the future, the Steering Committee will be divided into ACSI and Perbasi, so the league system will be broader by involving many universities. Stephen Metcalfe hoped that the cooperation with Perbasi could provide a good atmosphere and fair competition. “ACSI is not an organization that has all of the answers, but at least it helps to give good contribution,” he said.
