UPH and Directorate General of Taxation Ministry of Finance on Thursday, August 25, 2011 signed MoU agreeing on the opening of Tax Center.

Universitas Pelita Harapan (UPH) and Directorate General of Taxation Ministry of Finance on Thursday, August 25, 2011 signed MoU agreeing on the opening of Tax Center at UPH Faculty of Business. This means will give many advantages to the UPH community especially to Accountancy students who took concentration on taxation. Ir. Sigit Priadi Pramudito, the head of Banten Directorate General of Taxation, said that the opening could be a good start to introduce the students about the importance of tax payment and its contribution. ?We will organize seminars about taxation and provide competent sources. We also will give brevet course for those who are interested to be a tax consultant,? he explained. Tax Center allows students to obtain information needed for research easily. ?We will provide the research data needed,? Sigit added. In addition, this cooperation allows Directorate General of Taxation to ask for the help from experts at UPH to participate in the routine assessment or evaluation of their work. UPH Rector Dr. (Hon) Jonathan L. Parapak, M.Eng.Sc. mentioned about his hope on the launching of the Tax Center. ?Hopefully, this Tax Center will equip the students who are going to be professionals in the future to be a good taxpayer,? said him.
