Prof. Dr. Armida said that MP3EI itself was first published on May 27th 2011. ?Through this MP3EI, it is not the government who execute, but the government attempts to act as regulator, catalyst, and facilitator?, Prof. Dr. Armida continued. MP3EI was aimed to the privates so they could actively participate in this program. ?The essences of MP3EI are Indonesia?s economic corridor, reinforcement of national connectivity, and improvement of human resources? ability and national science?, she explained.

Indonesia?s economy was divided into 6 corridors, where there was a draft for central economic growth for each corridor. Each of these corridors had their own theme, for instance the development in Java was a bit metropolitan than other corridor. Meanwhile, the reinforcement of national connectivity was intended to connect the centre of economic growth with other regions, like providing the infrastructures. ?The government has run the major infrastructure for this MP3EI, for example by providing the air port, port, and the road?, said Prof. Dr. Armida. Afterward, the human resources were very necessary to support this program, for instance by encouraging the innovative driven economy. Related to the government policies, MP3EI does not replace those policies, such as RAPBN, APBN, etc.
