Exchange Students Farewell Dinner Hosted by the International Community for Students.

International Community for Students (ICS) is a community for full time International Students and Exchange Students at UPH. It was established back in 2011, under its new committee ICS held the first event this year. The farewell dinner for Exchange students in UPH, is the first event organized by the new committee. The event was held on Thursday, November 29, 2012 from 6 ? 8 pm at MYC Multi-Purpose Room.

The event was opened with opening speech by UPH?s Office of International Affairs representative, followed by an opening speech by ICS new President, Patricia Sugianto (Management student, batch 2010). Nasi Tumpeng (Indonesian traditional turmeric rice with a variety of dishes) was served for dinner; almost 40 people attended the event. The international exchange students were allowed to bring one close friend from UPH. The ICS team, later surprise them with photo clip and video testimony from their close friends. It was a very touching and memorable moments for the students, as they have shared a lot of experience together for the past five months. Travelling around Jakarta and trying out local foods, sharing their culture and traditions.

The event was closed successfully with a photo session, and a number of the students went to the airport that night, to send home Andreia Nogueira, an exchange student from the University of Technology Lisbon, Portugal. Tears, happiness and joy were seen on their faces, as the end of their stay in Indonesia is less than a month.

Last but not least, it is a job well done for all the exchange students and ICS team! (js)
