Eighty five students from Barana Christian Senior High School, Toraja, recently visited Pelita Harapan University (UPH) on Friday. 11th January 2013. This was their second visit to UPH, as a part of their annual field-trip activity at their school. Mr. Aure Budhy Sangari, Manager of Student Recruitment UPH, along with his team welcomed delegation from Kristen Barana Senior High School students, which consisted of 85 eleventh-grader students and 5 teachers, at MYC Multipurpose Room.
In his presentation, Mr. Aure explained about all programs at UPH, including lists of faculty and major that offer to students, Dual Degree program, Double Degree program, Scholarship program, Industry Partner, and Career Opportunities from some study field. All students from Kristen Barana Senior High School looked enthusiastic about the presentation, and shown by their activeness on asking questions about what concentration major that are available in Music Faculty, the administration procedure to enter Medical Faculty, is student exchange program available at all majors, and which foreign universities that already joint partnership with UPH.
After they attended the presentation, they were invited to do a campus tour and visited dorm facilities, library, laboratory, classroom, and sport facilities that available around UPH area.
Mrs. Rina, Biology Teacher, who assisted students on their visit to UPH, said that this program aimed to give students new information and knowledge about university that they will enter in the future. Beside their visit to UPH, the students also visited IPB, Medical Faculty of Universitas Indonesia, also related sites with Biology study, such as: Seaworld and Bogor Botanical Garden (Kebun Raya Bogor).
