Last Wednesday (27 February 2013), Universitas Pelita Harapan held an Afternoon Tea with Dr. (Hon) James Riady, the Founder of Universitas Pelita Harapan.

Last Wednesday (27 February 2013), Universitas Pelita Harapan held an Afternoon Tea with Dr. (Hon) James Riady, the Founder of Universitas Pelita Harapan. With the theme of ?Indonesia, Globalization Era, The Future of our Son and Daughter?. At this moment, parents who interest to get their children to continue their education to Universitas Pelita Harapan get the opportunity to know further about UPH Program from the Founder and the lecturers from each department in UPH. Took place in MYC Multi Purpose Room, Afternoon Tea began on 15.00.

 

As the introduction of the student experience at UPH, alumni of UPH gave their testimonials about their studies, campus life, and why they chose UPH instead other universities. The UPH Alumni who gave their testimonials were Vidi Aldiano, a famous singer and alumni of Management study; Samantha Juwita, student of Communication study; Jessie Sutiono, a Law student, Novita, alumni of International Relations, and other alumni. They all said they had very memorable study experience and exciting campus life, especially because of the satisfying facilities that support them during their studies, the lecturers also helpful and support them to succeed in their studies. For Video Aldiano, he even said the lecturer of the Business School are friendly and up-to-date, he could even text his lecturer through Smartphone whenever he wanted to consult about his thesis.   

   

After the testimonial session, Dr. (Hon) James Riady conveyed his thought about the topic. He shared three pillars of life that are important to behave: family, school, and religious place to pray. In order to ensure our children to have not only capable hard skill and soft skill to be succeed in life, they need to balance their talents and collide, enhance the talents that most improved and ensure our children to be educated at the place they can grow, not only in material aspects, but also in spiritual aspects, that?s why UPH answers all parents? needs about their children growth: True knowledge, Faith in God, Godly character.
