UPH introduced its brand new program, the UPH-RMIT Joint Degree on Monday, August 19, 2013. Gerard Shanahan ? Director, Planning and Resource of RMIT University and Andreas K. Djukuardi ? Faculty of Administration and Student Services Academic Administration Services of UPH gave the description for each profile, facilities, and curriculum from both university and the Joint Degree program system to the students who are interested to join in.

RMIT is one of the best international-scale universities in Australia. 40% of RMIT, studying in Australia or other RMIT campus in Asia, came from various countries in the world.

The Joint Degree program is a result from the cooperation between UPH and RIMT in the form of curriculum collaboration for UPH students who are majoring in economy, management, accounting, marketing, and communication. This program is different with the dual degree where students are going to do all of the classes in UPH with lecturers from RMIT Australia. In his presentation, Gerard Shanahan said that after fulfilling all the class credits, students are going to get three awards at once; the Diploma of Commerce and Bachelor of Business from RMIT and Sarjana Ekonomi (Bachelor of Economy) from UPH.

One of advantages from this program is that students could save more money because they do not need to have extra expenses for studying abroad. With this program, students can get education with curriculum from abroad without having to go there. Besides that, in the 3 years time of studying at UPH, students can have three degrees at once from RMIT and UPH. Consequently, the graduates from this program are going to get bigger opportunities in the working world, not only in Indonesia but also in the international world. (ym)
